Freeform is a great place to bring your ideas to life. Sketch out a project, design a mood board or start a brainstorming session on a flexible canvas that supports almost any kind of file. And with iCloud, all your boards stay in sync, whether you’re on your Mac, your iPad or your iPhone.

Unleash your creativity
• Add photos, video, audio, documents, PDFs, web links, stickies and more anywhere on a Freeform board, perfect for creating a digital pinboard, collecting research for a school project or gathering inspiration for your home renovation.
• Use your finger, or Apple Pencil on a compatible iPad, to draw anywhere on the canvas. Choose from a variety of brush styles and colours. 
• Create beautiful diagrams with a library of over 700 shapes and alignment guides to help make your document look just the way you’d like.
• Scan paper documents with the built-in document scanner to archive documents and even annotate them if you’d like, directly on the board.

Collaborate with others
• Invite your friends or colleagues into your board for real-time collaboration. Freeform brings people together into a shared space for creativity, whether you’re at your desk or on the go. Easily invite others via email, link or Messages. 
• Brainstorm together with up to 100 collaborators in the same board. 
• Communicate with Messages or FaceTime. When you’re working on a board with others, you can jump into the associated Messages conversation or start a FaceTime call with your collaborators with a single tap.

### **--- "The app is a great idea, but  needs a lot of work."
Although I use it daily for university. There are some serious issues and missing features. 

1. If the current document is a little bigger, the app can just crash in the middle of work.
2. Last year when I tried to sync my documents with iCloud, it just deleted all of my data and couldn’t recover it.
3. I would really enjoy it if I could organise the documents in (nested) folders, so I didn’t have to make their names longer by prepending general info.
4. Maybe if there is nothing in the document, and is named “Untitled..” it should be auto deleted.
5. When exporting a document as PDF, if there is a copied part in the document, e.g. the old parts become grey, if the original color is black.
6. It would be great, if I can export the document to other apps, say Word (paging the data could be semi-automatic, i.e. confirming with the user what exactly should contain each page from the document).

Otherwise, I really enjoy the app, and hope the developers take actions on my notes and improve the app.

I cannot understand why is so slow and lagging every time when I use it, I rebooted few times my iPad which I bought recently but seems to be app issue, when I type it lags and I cannot write delete edit, also when I draw / creating things also lags for 3-5 seconds, when I try to pinch to zoom in and zoom out also lags, could you please check why?! I’m using for work and this is really annoying and I will search for alternatives at this point…delusional…btw I have iPad 10th Generation brand new, other apps working with no issues no lags and no input lags like in this app.

I would give it more but it needs some development - brushes with more dimension for fonts, customisable colour palette, bring an able to create folders for all notes, highlighter that goes below text/ drawn things and above photos, possibility for lines on page. Otherwise works great with apple pencil and I am very happy for this addition. I truly hope to see updates with some of my suggestions soon!

### **--- "Features and performance lacking."
I’ve been using this app for some time. I take a lot of notes using the Apple Pencil and I like to draw diagrams for connecting ideas and showcase engineering solutions. Furthermore I also annotate mathematical equations and geometric figures. 
What it doesn’t make sense to me is that the snap draw feature is not present on this app; you can find this feature on every mayor note taking or drawing app, even in Apple notes, but not here.
Also, I have a really big board with a lot of annotations and every time I wan to pan it or add something it lags a lot, the response is really slow and sometimes it crashes. I guess there’s really no point in having and infinite canvas if your board is not going to support much information.
