Compared to apps like concepts, this app drains battery like it’s nobody’s business. During my last class, which wound up being an hour and twenty minute long session, I lost on average .81% per minute. Comparatively, my last class session using concepts only drew .375% per minute. This means I can use concepts for 4 and a half hours straight while I can only use Freeform for 2. This is before mentioning how hot my iPad gets when using the app which is worrying from a longevity perspective. Plus the fact that I have the latest generation iPad Pro so this is probably even worse for most people! I have the newest iPad Pro and it makes my iPad HOT 2. After adding a certain amount of notes, writing, or highlights, it gets soooo laggy and unusable. Again, even on the newest iPad Pro 3. Occasionally, it shifts whole sections of handwritten notes to another area. For example when mind mapping, especially when the document is getting larger, it sometimes shifts a chunk to a different area nearby. Makes all the work I put in unusable because the notes gets moved over to areas I’ve already written on so it’s impossible to separate out the two. 4. This brings me to the next point, no version history 5. Can’t rearrange the tool sets 6. Can’t rearrange the primary colors 7. No formatting options for text, i.e. can’t use bullet or number points 8.
