We pre-booked a taxi five hours in advance in Palermo. Five minutes prior to pickup the app started “looking for driver”. And when the time came, we just got a message: No driver found. So we had to walk for 25 min 🙁

I normally like the app a lot, but the prebooking funktion is aweful. I made a prebooking to get to the airport early in the morning. The driver did not show at the right time and I had to take another cap. I then had to pay a 10 euro cancellation fee. And pay the other taxi that I found on the street.

We waited. And waited. The driver accepted. And we waited. And waited. We could see the driver 100 meters away. Then he cancelled it - and turned into a “normal taxi”. And the really bad thing: FREENOW has no way of helping us or being able to report the imposter. Ultimately, we waited, lost our Michelin restaurant reservation and got no help.

One driver in Warsaw cancelled the trip while we were driving in order to force cash payment, then dropped us in the middle of nowhere when we didn’t have cash. The next driver took us to our hotel, but wouldn’t accept the card we set up in the app and only wanted cash payment. 

When the ATM could only give a minimum note of 3 times the price, the driver didn’t have change so we were forced to pay triple price. 

The app works well, but the drivers do not which ruins the overall experience. I will never use this app in Poland again.
