Description

FreeOTP adds a second layer of security for your online accounts. This works by generating one-time passwords on your mobile devices which can be used in conjunction with your normal password to make your login nearly impossible to hack. These passwords can be generated even when your phone is in airplane mode.

FreeOTP works with many of the great online services you already use, including Google, Facebook, Evernote, GitHub and many more! FreeOTP also may work for your private corporate security if they implement the standardized TOTP or HOTP protocols. This includes great enterprise solutions like FreeIPA.

FreeOTP is open source and free software! Licensed under the Apache 2.0 license, you can obtain the source code for FreeOTP at https://fedorahosted.org/freeotp for review or modification. Contributions are welcome!

Tokens etc.

Hello This is super. @all the people that complain about deleting tokens: SWIPE LEFT ON THE TOKEN and you can delete it. IOS 15.6 and it works beautiful. Also the Legal work is not completley fine, since it does sell your data to 3thd parties; but not the confidential one.

Rename Header Text

Thanks for updating my favourite Authenticator. I however cant find a way to actually edit the header text! How would i do that?

how to delete tokens? how to backup at all???

Bad update ...

Hello, The new update is really bad ... the new token removal process is so easy that we can easily remove a token and be locked out of a webapp, and need to contact the website’s support to remove the two factor authentication and set it up again... Then, about icons... why can we not change the icons, like we could in the previous version ? Also, it’s impossible to add or remove a token’s lock status (like add or remove the fact that this token requires the iPhones code to show). Last but not least, is asks for the code instead of FaceID ... The new icons are fine, that’s the only good thing in that update in my opinions. If you could add those simple features it would simply be the best OTP app out there. But it’s currently not the case, unfortunately Thank you for reading my comment :)

App crash as soon as I scan QR

Algo is sha256 And app is crashing when scanner the qrcode. Impossible to launch it again. Only way is deleting the app and reinstalling.

Small, short and handy utility

I am using this to connect to all online crypto exchange accounts. I have 6 userIDs/password accesses secured with this OTP, and it works great without any flaws on my iPhone and iPad. To test functionality, I deleted/re-installed several times, did backups, and changed configuration afterwards. I pretended to have lost my iPhone, and installed on a different device - great, works. No publicity, no blinkings, no fancy user interface gimmicks - exactly what I need to secure my online accesses.
