This app is fine - it does its job but it’s not great; for example, it constantly disconnects from the sensor for one thing. Last year it ended up in the news because they put out an update that completely bricked the app so it was just a blank screen. It took them a while to fix it (can’t remember how long) but in fixing it they broke the drop down for what meal you’re having… 12 months and they’ve *finally* fixed that… only to introduce a different but that the “Add Note” button on the homepage now doesn’t work sometimes. As a software developer who pushes out updates frequently, I can only assume that you are taking *12 months* to make updates because you are rigorously testing the app, right? Although considering the fact the past 3 updates caused the aforementioned bugs, you seem to be failing miserably at it. To me, this seems like a case of outsourced development but what do I know… Next, when Apple pushed out their iOS 17 update last year, I waited a couple of days or so and then updated - again, as a developer, you learn to update things frequently to ensure you get software patches for security. 3 days after iOS 17 released, Libre message me saying the “upcoming iOS 17 release” isn’t necessarily compatible… I’m sorry, what?! You’ve had well over 6 months to check this and you haven’t done so yet?! They release and iOS update annually, how did you not know?! At the very least, send me an email about the “upcoming” release *before* it releases so that I don’t go and, I don’t know, download it and possibly break being able to use this health device app. They go on to discourage users from updating their device until they have sorted it out. For a device I have a lot of personal details on, I am not foregoing updates and telling users not to update is very poor. FYI, I’m still waiting (after iOS 18 has been released) to find out if iOS 17 is compatible yet… Do better! Finally, people have been requesting an Apple Watch complication since I’ve been wearing this device and the response is always “we’ll pass it on to the development team”… sure you will… we’re all still waiting… At how much these devices cost and considering that this is their primary device, I’m appalled at this level of ineptitude. My diabetic nurse gave me an application card to apply for a free trial of freestyle libre. This is a great initiative to allow diabetics to better understand their blood sugar .
