Description

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1][2]
You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:
* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2]
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission [3]
SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.
USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.
Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

Was good, but this release crashes

Been using this app for about 18 months and it’s been fantastic. Updated it about a week ago and now it hangs and crashes multiple times per day. Please fix.

Inexplicable changes and issues

Wedgewood81 on

Australia

If you have an app that uses audible alarms to notify of serious health issues (low and high blood sugars), the WORST thing you can do is change the sounds of those alarms without warning or explanation. The “custom” low and high alarms sound so similar, and the other options are so generic. Infuriating. The app also loses signal and freaks out far too often. Scanning doesn’t always re-establish connection, and so critical alarms can be missed to easily.

iPhone 15 not supported

FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor does not support IPhone 15 yet (Jun 2024)

Useless it missed 6 hypoglycaemia alarms

If I could zero this I would! My husband is using this app and his data shows zero alarms or low sugar events in his logbook but the alarm went off 6 times in the librelinkup. In both apps it would also be helpful to have the data on how long someone was low for given it doesn’t always show on the chart even when the alarm goes off. You need to sort your stuff out because people have been complaining for months about the dropouts but you either don't care or are incapable of hiring competent software development teams.

Good but needs more

I love my libre have been using it for 2 years The #1 thing needed is for the app to be compatible with Apple Health and for readings to be available on the Apple Watch

LibreLink up better

Best budget app ever on

Australia

I recently had a look at my husbands “libre link up” app which looks at the same data, and was surprised! Why is that app so much better than the main one? Easier to navigate, see data and looks better too. That’s my only complaint in terms of user experience. Other than that I am very happy to be able to see my glucose at any given moment!

Fantastic idea but can still be improved

Fun as games on

It's annoying when it’s five minutes behind on the readings. And you can have the phone right beside the sensor And the amount of times it drops in an out of signal and that alarm is so annoying. I’m sure that can be fixed. Now for some suggestions. I would love more choices for the notes like the ability to add Photos, more then one way to represent a measurement of what you’re eating. And also can we please have more choices in notifications sounds then the same old three sounds. if you can add these things, it would be amazing. And also when the readings are five minutes behind, the actual time scan and you get the alarm sounds on a hypo ect.. then by time I respond eg.. have my insulin or something sweet then I am already putting my myself or for some people there carers in a bad position. Now that’s something that you really need to get right. Thank You so so much for what you have been able to accomplish so far. ❤️❤️

Dinky Rubbish, No Better Than A Toy

I paid over a hundred bucks for this, followed the instructions to the letter & it worked for just over a day before it failed & said it must be replaced.

Apple Watch

Gorganjay on

Why hasn’t freestyle developed the app so it can be viewed as a complication on an Apple Watch? This is very poor as Dexcom have already created one.

My alarms are not ringing
