## FreeStyle LibreLink – AU Description
The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1][2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2]
* Add notes to track your food, insulin use and exercise
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission [3]

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

APP INFORMATION

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the app does not provide one.

[2] Alarms that you receive do not include your glucose reading, so you must scan your sensor to check your glucose.

## FreeStyle LibreLink – AU Reviews in Australia

### *---- "Signal loss constantly"
iPhone 16 max pro , software 18.2 . My phone is always in my pocket or next to my bed and I keep getting signal loss messages every 10mins, tried reset Bluetooth , restart phone and reinstall the app twice . Nothing works ! Not getting connectivity issue with my other devices that uses Bluetooth
-- Paradiseplace1990, 2024-12-29

### *---- "Such a waste"
Just bought this, first day using and within an hour the sensor has disconnected 5 times. Like this has all the potential to be great but if it’s incapable of continuous monitoring it’s no longer a CGM device. I’ll have to try competitor products because this is just a waste.
-- BrentonA, 2024-12-23

### **--- "Disappointed"
Tech is great, but the 100 dollar sensor keeps losing connection, often takes multiple scans to update. Result is a 24 hours continual update gets about 7 hours of data a day…
-- He keins, 2024-12-10

### *---- "Bluetooth not connecting"
Disappointing experience so far. Automatic updates not happening due to Bluetooth not connecting
-- John Monino, 2024-12-03

### **--- "Buggy"
My app reverted to an old install for some reason where i have to scan every time instead of continuously keeping track of my glucose and now it alerts me every minute when it drops just by 1 point like 5.5 to 5.4 then 5.5 again i have to put it on do not disturb sometimes and the app hasn’t had an update for 6 months it needs to be updated its certainly overdue
-- Ilyanuuk, 2024-11-30

### ***** "I too would like to be able to read horizontally. I am Type 2 and long for the day it is Cheaper lov"
See above. Just call me Duffer. Love my Freestyle approval from Dr.
-- Obsessive-reader, 2024-11-20

### **--- "Not integration with apple health"
The user data belongs to user and sync with apple health should have been done. Rather there is a clumsy download tool on Libre view website for a detailed history. The app only show 12 hour history hence apple health integration is a necessity.
-- Sam-noor, 2024-11-11

### *---- "Yeah, doesn’t work"
Basically never works. Continuous glucose monitoring = continuous signal loss, scan failures and only updates after you scan 25 times and the graph actually updates. But the update graph will show incorrect information when compared with the logbook of your glucose. So like no idea, the whole your glucose going up and down indicators seems really flawed as suddenly your glucose spikes back the opposite direction. Which really doesn’t seem to make much sense.
-- Munterfuster5000, 2024-11-08

### *---- "Sensor quality going downhill"
Been using the sensor for over a year now. The last 6 months have gone downhill. Sensors not even lasting a day. Just got a replacement one as I’m sick of paying for an item that fails. Replacement ones has been on 12 hours and will not self scan. I’m constantly having to check in manually. If I wanted to do manual I would go back to finger pricking. My app is always open. It will connect then disconnect before my eyes.
-- LilMummaRenz, 2024-11-06

### ***** "Help?"
This is ground breaking work for diabetics.
I’ve been using this for 3 years but the last 2 months I’ve been having to scan every time I open the app instead of it already being automatically scanned. And after 2 minutes of manually scanning it myself, it notify’s me that the signal is lost.
-- Samlaulex, 2024-10-29

### **--- "App tells me to wait 10 mins"
Nearly everytime when having to scan my sensor the app tells me I need to wait 10 mins.
Not ideal when hypo’ing.
Automatic results not great and always need to scan.
-- Stacksmaloney, 2024-10-21

### *---- "Terrible"
Read my blood twice and never again. What a disappointment
-- Dour but Honest, 2024-10-12

### *---- "Scan doesn’t work most of the time"
When I add a new sensor or if it disconnects it won’t rescan despite pressing the scan button multiple times. Disappointed for something that I rely on and for the price. I signed up for the subscription service but am now considering cancelling it.
-- Djp****, 2024-10-03

### ***** "Great app…needs one more thing"
I’ve been using the FL2 and app for about two years and find it extremely useful for managing my T2 diabetes…however, an app on the Apple Watch would be fantastic, especially when exercising or driving.
-- scotth58, 2024-09-17

### **--- "Better than It was"
Look

It’s pretty good.
But after years of lagging behind it’s still really lacks the most basic functionality.
When you really need it the most it can’t handle it.
When I know my sugars are dropping dramatically it always tells me ‘glucose reading unavailable try again in 10 minutes’
As I can’t actually tell what my BG is in the moment I over compensate and end up yo-yogi for the next several hours.
-- Beej1078, 2024-09-14

### *---- "Waste of space"
This is honestly the single WORST product I’ve ever wasted my time with. Of the last 12 I’ve tried, I’ve had to send 7 back for a replacement. Phone doesn’t scan most of them! But then some work, so it’s the sensor, not the phone. My payWave works fine every time. Moving to dexcom.
-- eleperes, 2024-09-10

### ***-- "Not doing continuous monitoring"
For my last 2 sensors since last phone update I have had to scan to get a reading… very frustrating
Readings are not always accurate - but near snuff is good snuff most of the time
-- Coolbeans11113, 2024-09-07

### *---- "No watch support, no widgets??"
For a turnover of US$40bn+, it’s disappointing these guys don’t support real-time tracking on device-screens and wearables.
-- nameless007, 2024-09-03

### *---- "Very poor app"
Only used sensor for 3 days and now keep says sensor error . I have been trying to connect all day no luck. Waste of time and money very poor quality.
-- Wisdom 111, 2024-08-31

### *---- "Frustrating as hell"
I was recommended by my doctors to use this app to monitor my blood sugar
But the first two weeks it was all good , the app updates my reading automatically but suddenly with new sensors my iphone cant scan the sensor anymore , i thought it was from iphone so i erase my settings and check my nfc and deleted the app multiple time and replace sensors for nothing , then suddenly after a one month of me not being able to scan the sensor through my phone , i tried to scan the senor using my friend phone and it worked, then i tried to scan it again from my phone it worked
What the hell is that ????
Then it stop scanning again , and before in the home page it will give me my current reading
And the sensor be actice most of the time now i tried the sensor is only acticve 8 percent and i have to scan it every time so i know my current reading and the most frustrating thing is I don’t know if this time i will be able to scan the sesor
Plzzzz fix this Asap
