SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.
USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.
Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

FreeStyle LibreLink – GB Reviews

Time to change

This app used to connect all the time. Now I can not remember when this app last done continuous blood sugar monitoring. I hope my health care provider can switch me to dexicom. I have sent on occasion to have my sensor replaced but no answer.

Good in parts but unreliable

Too many times, the app stops giving CGM readings, so gaps can happen at times these things are important, and/or the flash won’t work as well. It can take 10 or more attempts to get a reading. Oh, and the sensors fail far too often. I reckon about 40% of mine fail and have to be changed.

Great now and again

I’ve been sat next to my phone all night and the libre2 has lost connection every 10 minutes. It’s been like this for weeks. I have latest iPhone so I don’t think it’s that. When it works it’s fantastic . It’s really turned my diabetic control around. But when it’s like this it’s more annoying than helpful.

Why still not apple health integration?!??

It’s clever kit but all my other health data is in one place for any gp visits but to get libre data in it seems I’ve got to daisy chain multiple apps - why can’t it just be simple???

Disappointing

How can iPhone widgets and Apple Watch compatibility be missing on such an app in this day and age!? Many other apps offer this. Even third party apps. This should really be there from the beginning. No apple health integration either. Nowhere near as many features as Dexcom. Really needs a total overhaul and a very BIG update.

Love it

This sensor has transformed my life, thank you Libre, I’ve never had so much control in the 50+ years of Type 1 diabetes. I have so much confidence now when going out. Infact I’ve now been taken off the care of my diabetic team and back to my GP. Best invention ever..

Failed sensor

I hate not being able to rely on these

Alarms are annoying

Love the freestyle sensor system, it has changed the way I manage my diabetes, the App is great, but I prefer to use the Freestyle Reader to start the sensor because the Alarms are nicer, either a subtle vibrate that will wake you or vibrate/beep that gets your attention in the daytime, I really want to use the App in CGM mode but the alarms are either a very brief vibrate, that won’t wake you, a single beep or a very loud siren, none are really suitable, the App needs more choice on alarm settings like a continuous vibrate or beeps with different volumes, maybe bespoke from the selection of sounds that the smartphone (iPhone) has on offer.

Warning to Freestyle Libre users - regarding Apple iOS and this App updates.

Unfortunately I have recently updated my iPhone iOS and this Librelink App has stopped scanning any new sensors. On 19th Dec 2024 I tried 3 new sensors with all failing to scan - far too many to be faulty sensors! Got Apple to run a diagnostics on my iPhone ( SE 2022 ) hardware and all was functioning perfectly. Therefore there is major problem with this Freestyle Libre App to anyone running iOS 18.0+ ( I even tried updating to the latest iOS 18.2 as a last resort which still failed ). Very poor / amateur conduct for a multi national company to not ensure that their software system App is functioning correctly on the latest iOS.
