Description

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1] [2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors [2]
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

Bring back the old features

Hduiscgyxisvwufkdjhh on

My A1C has gone up since updating the app from the old version. The loss of the daily metrics has had a absolutely detrimental impact to my ability to track against my longer term targets. The new automatic reading is not a helpful addition at all, it takes two seconds to tap my phone to my arm to get a reading, the removal of the daily metrics has caused a plummet in my diabetes health. Shame on these developers for not putting patients health before what you believe are cool technological enhancements. Deeply disappointed, I have tried to call and complain, no answer. Do another app update and bring back the daily metrics, how many people have to complain for them to fix this?

Continually Losing Bluetooth Connection

Vauxflow on

Absolutely rubbish! Several sensors and all have issue connecting to or staying connected to Bluetooth, had I known this was going to be so infuriating I’d have instead gone for the Dexcom CGM. Have tried the usual garble that support offer, turn phone off/on, turn Bluetooth off/on and still the sensors don’t stay connected, constant signal loss messages. If support really cared they’d have fixed this issue long ago because the majority of folks leaving negative feedback on here are mostly all complaining about the very same issue therefore to support reading this… give us an update that “actually works” to fix this issue! Sort it out promptly Abbott!!! 😡👎🏻

Needs to be compatible with Apple Watch

Lupus mamma on

Been using this since December 23, and I can be in the same room with my phone a few yards away and it looses connection, it needs an Apple Watch connection so that it would never lose connection and saves people carrying their phone all the time, as even when the phone is on charge my sensor loses connection A friend of mine uses a different smart watch and they are compatible so why is Apple Watch not

False readings

Martel’s on

Since updating my app to this version I have had many false low blood glucose levels which are far below actual fingerprick dreading. I honed abbot customer services and told them I had replaced the sensor this has lasted 21 hours. This means so have used 2 sensors in the same time that I updated the software. IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THIS NEW SOFTWARE

Just a terrible faulty app

Iain_29 on

This software is utterly unfit for purpose. The sensor fails to continually scan and the customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. Very frustrated with this app - not good enough considering how essential to health care it is meant to be. Absolute rubbish!

Nocturnal hypoglycemia - no alarm

ShinMinAh. on

Seems like I have nocturnal hypoglycemia and I did not get any alarm even once. I double-checked all settings.

Rubbish App

Blendsjj on

Entered the wrong password and was locked out of my account with no apparent way to recover, absolutely brilliant! Now I can check my blood sugar levels. Reading from the freestyle libre 2 as well are often inaccurate.

Fairly good.

Scorpio the Greek on

I will be buying another one so its good points are outweighing the bad. My main issue is that I can’t put the app on my iPad! WHY? Not everyone wants to try to read this precise info on a small screen. Also I would like it to clearly state the numbers that mean pre-diabetes and diabetes. If you have diabetes what you’re looking for is a bit different from pre-diabetes.

Bad app from an awful company

grimdalf on

Basically featureless. Only does the bare minimum expected of a CGM app I.e demonstrate sugar levels, allow logging etc (if your sensor actually works). Improvements that are needed: - Could use a widget on phone and watch to make life easier instead of opening the app all the time to view glucose level - Dark mode - Alarm noise customisation - Enable sensor calibration with blood glucose (the factory calibration is not good enough) Abbott is a lazy company that doesn’t bother to update the app functionality despite mountains of negative reviews and constantly provides faulty sensors. Sure you get a replacement but that replacement will also likely be faulty.

I’m disappointed with this app

CharlieP16 on

I tried the dexcom one and can generally say it’s 100 times better than this you can’t link it to apple health the reason aren’t as accurate as the competition on the basis it falls of so easily the plaster round it is so delicate and if I wear anything over my libre monitor it says signal error sort it out because it’s not the best but yet for some reason we are told it is definitely a lot of margin for improvement
