## FreeStyle LibreLink – IE Description
The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1] [2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2]
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission [3]

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at 

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

FreeStyle LibreLink is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with a sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, refer to the User’s Manual, which can be accessed through the app. If you require a printed User’s Manual, contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support.

### *---- "Bought a sensor in Brazil, couldn’t use and the dev says “don’t do it”"
Long story short: I used the app in Ireland normally. Visited Brazil, bought another sensor and installed only to have the app refuse the sensor. Turns out it is tied to the BR App which does not show on the Irish App Store. Result - lost the sensor and the money as I can’t switch countries (Apple policies) and can’t possibly order an Irish sensor here. 
This would be solved by simply downloading the BR version, but the dev response was simply legal and not helpful.

Brilliant app and never fail to have an issue with it. I do however have an suggestion, it would be great if the libre could be linked up to the Apple Watch. Obviously scanning may be hard considering what side your sensor is - but maybe making it accessible through the watch to have a look at the graph to see what it is, that’d be very handy and something I would get great use of and I’m sure many others would too. A suggestion I’d love to see implemented in the near future.

App not working to scan sensor one day after I activated it. I cannot change and scan with the monitor provided because the sensor was scanned using phone app so I have to throw the sensor with 13 days left on it in the bin and start a new sensor if I even get the app to work or choose to use the monitor. A very costly app malfunction for users. Really dissatisfied with throwing money away

One the most used app for diabetics and it doesn't work after the update. Sensor costing to much just to have it on you without scanning it. Freestyle Libre you owe me a free sensor because I am unable to scan it. I think it's time to give dexcom a try.
Update: managed to get app working again, had to delete all iphone data and reset phone as new and then update ios firmware again. Older freestyle link app was working before without any issues.

This product has genuinely changed my life. I used to find pricking my finger so difficult and painful, I would regularly go days without checking. With this product I can check as many times as I like. It has dropped my a1c from 13 to 6.8% in 3 months. Hi, just got the app and find it great.  It would be really beneficial for me if you could add an option to perform a quick scan without unlocking the phone, with the result displayed on the lock screen. This would be particularly helpful for diabetics, as in a hypo situation we are often unable to scan ourself, and need a family member to do it. If they cannot unlock the phone, the app is impossible to use, and could lead to a medical emergency.

When activating a new sensor before the old sensor has expired the app completely freezes in iOS13 meaning the new sensor cannot be activated.

Always sceptical about these but I have been using this for a year. In terms of the app - it’s excellent.

The one thing I would like to point out though. Is the detailed reports are not stored on the phone but on the libre view website, where as you can print/retrieve these from the reader and the software on your computer. 

But app is excellent 
Libre view is good, UI for options on the reports could be made more obvious .. trying to change the reporting period for some reports is a little confusing 
But that’s nothing to do with this app.
