## FreeStyle LibreLink – SG Description
The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1][2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2]
* Add notes to track your food, insulin use and exercise
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission [3]

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

APP INFORMATION
FreeStyle LibreLink is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with a sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, refer to the User’s Manual, which can be accessed through the app. If you require a printed User’s Manual, contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support.

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the app does not provide one.

[2] Alarms that you receive do not include your glucose reading, so you must scan your sensor to check your glucose.

[3] Use of FreeStyle LibreLink and LibreLinkUp requires registration with LibreView.

## FreeStyle LibreLink – SG Reviews in Singapore

### *---- "App or sensor not working?"
This is wasting a lot of my money!!! App doesn’t seem to work after the latest iOS update on my iPhone 15 pro max!!! I want a refund for sensor!!!
-- Enraged Customer!, 2024-11-29

### **--- "No apple health data export"
This seems the bare minimum and yet it is not possible.
-- tbh ffgfdc, 2024-10-20

### **--- "Apps seems to hang"
I encounter similar issues as reported by another user in Nov. sometimes when you scan, the apps seems to freeze. Other times it seems to scan cos you can see the readings in the background but the apps shows as “still scanning”.

Seems like Abbot doesn’t have anyone maintaining the apps.
-- saltjalt, 2024-10-10

### *---- "Very slow and no updates"
Operation takes ages for reading to appear unlike when it started was instant. Seems like tech team isn’t interested in resolving the issue. Have read most of the users complaining about the same.
Have complained earlier too. No response still.
-- Sinful249, 2024-09-17

### **--- "Not so great to be honest"
The app is not so smooth to use. It can take a reading once then to take another reading I have to close the app down and reload it. It’s sluggish to use this app and I’m on a recent iPhone that works fine for all my other apps.
-- matthew1hunter, 2024-07-26

### *---- "App suddenly stopped scanning"
Is wasting my sensor money every day I loose scan data gives me more stress and increases my sugar levels considering that the cost is so high for the sensor! Restarted the app, worried that deleting the app and reinstalling it may waste the sensor as it might not recognise the sensor since the app that started the sensor was deleted - waiting for some other cgm device to be available in singapore to give these guys some competition and stop selling product of such value which can’t be relied on
-- appayya, 2024-07-25

### **--- "Used to be responsive but bus now buggy"
I second what some others users experienced. Laggy haptics and irregular response. Please fix the app.
-- hkitying, 2024-05-24

### *---- "Terrible app"
Sometimes it does not recognize the sensor; some times the sensor scan button doesn't work. What a waste of money. Other countries have so many options for CGMs, can try wait for Singapore to offer some too.
-- Nick is unavailable, 2024-05-19

### ****- "Recommendation"
Hi, please link this to Apple Health. Thanks.
-- SynysterB, 2024-04-29

### **--- "Why are we stuck with 1st gen sensors?"
Why can’t Abbott push through the Libre 3 into Singapore. We are stuck with Libre 1 (not even 2) and the tech is old and slow.

The Libre 3 has been CE marked for 2.5 years. It works. Come on Abbott and Singapore MOH get with the program and give us up to date tools to manage the Singapore ‘war on diabetes’.
-- AngMoKia, 2024-04-14

### ***** "High failure rate to read ssnsor"
Follow-up review….I received a call from Abbott on 28 Feb 24 and was assured of 2 replacement sensors after reviewing my feedback and confirming the sensor failure from the app’s event log. I was told that my feedback would be forwarded to the relevant dept for improvement. I received the replacement sensors on 01 Mar 24. I will change my rating from 1 star to 5 stars due to the quick customer recovery effort by Abbot. Thank you.
____________

I’m using iPhone 14 and have bought 3 Libre sensors so far. However, the app failed to read 2 out of the 3 sensors and I feel cheated for spending so much on them. I don’t think there is a proper assessment and refund process for such sensor failures. But I will not buy this brand again. Rubbish.
-- Hatimanis, 2024-03-01

### *---- "Could be much better. Avoid the product until Abbott improves it"
The CGM and this App does what it says on the tin. But it falls way short in allowing our modern data ecosystems to integrate. Abbott expects us to give our data but then refuses to make it easy to share our own data with our main repository (Apple Health in my case).

I won’t be buying this product again until that is fixed!
-- fjdhskwje, 2024-01-18

### **--- "Slow and unresponsive"
As a person with type 1 diabetes who needs to scan multiple times per day, this app is infuriating. It was fine a few years ago but for as long as I can remember now it has been incredibly and slow and often completely unresponsive. Far too often I get a notification that a glucose reading is unavailable and to "try again in 10 minutes". This can be very distressing. Generally though, I find myself bashing away at the scan button sometimes 20+ times before anything happens. Then it can take another 10 seconds or more to display the reading, and it doesn't always even do that!

Abbott, please look into this and fix it. This is an important medical app and I have enough stress in my life without getting enraged by it on a daily basis.
-- GeorgeFN, 2024-01-12

### *---- "Lacks basic functionality"
I am unable to read value in chart :(
-- Anicetog, 2024-01-05

### ***-- "Used to be Great. What’s going on?"
This app has gone from being awesome to a bit hit-and-miss kind of an app in recent times it used to be that I scan, and I get instant results. These days when I scan, the app keeps searching for the sensor, and yet reports the glucose levels most of the time anyway! No feedback on haptics like last time.

Another issue is that, I feel the time to scan now is longer than it used to be. On my iPhone 11 it was almost instant and on my for iPhone 15, eh I had the same settings I have started discovering these problems is it a hardware compatiblity issue or an app issue?

Please fix these issues Abbott Labs IT people. This sensor and app iis quite useful for me on a day-to-day basis. Life changer - pls pay attention!
-- Dexter88813, 2023-11-28

### *---- "It’s already been 3 years"
It’s just like the scanner, with bigger screen, can’t link with Apple Watch, i health… no landscape mode.
-- Haizzzzz😕, 2023-05-16

### *---- "Not connected to Apple Health"
What a shame being an health app and it doesn’t not support sharing its data to Apple health. It’s on iOS platform and should be sharing its data to native built on iOS health app. Please improve it.
-- Kenzojoey, 2023-04-25

### ***-- "Unable to share data with apple healtkit"
Being able to share data with apple health will go a long way for a holistic view
-- jack from beans, 2023-04-21

### *---- "Not reliable product"
Just simply cannot scan the sensor. Re-installed the app a few times on my iPhone X , but just cannot work.
-- Phillip Teo, 2023-04-12

### **--- "Effective scans but limited reporting"
The app allows for easy scanning of blood glucose but the data this generates results in limited reports that add little value.
