USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
If you would like to use both the FreeStyle Libre Reader and the App with the same Sensor, you need to start the Sensor with the Reader first and then scan with your phone. Note that FreeStyle LibreLink and Readers do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your Sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

APP INFORMATION
FreeStyle LibreLink is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with a Sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, refer to the User’s Manual, which can be accessed through the app. If you require a printed User’s Manual, contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support.

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system as the App does not provide one. Fingersticks are required for treatment decisions when you see the Check Blood Glucose symbol, when symptoms do not match system readings, when you suspect readings may be inaccurate, or when you experience symptoms that may be due to high or low blood glucose.

What a waste of money! Set app up yesterday and it was working fine. Then this morning stopped working, I have done a the troubleshooting steps to no avail. Very disappointed especially with this costing $75.00 a month.

Do NOT buy the sensor if you are abroad APP doesn’t work!!!

DayanaCBZ on

I had a situation with the app trying yo scan while in Brazil. Bought one there and try to scan but it is incompatible. Costumer service was useless asking me to download it with a Apple Store from the Brazil!! How I suppose to scan it during the day with a another person’s phone??!! Unbelievable. Now I lost my money and cant scan it and no one can help or try to refund the money.

Works very well

Lib basher on

App works well. Haven’t had a single problem. But I do have a question for the developers. When will we have an IWatch app like Dexcom? That would be very convenient. Thank you in advance for your quick reply.

PLEASE fix this latest update!

jksmith93 on

This new update is the worst I’ve seen. It literally takes 60 seconds to scan and get a reading. I had to tap the scan button several times, it doesn’t vibrate or sound when it scans, and it spends another 30s before it shows the actual reading. It’s pretty pathetic how poorly this app is working. Adding to the review because there have been NO UPDATES for the app since I left the one above several weeks ago. It continues to get worse, taking longer to scan and lately my readings have consistently registered as “LO” on the sensor when meter readings show I’m actually at 90. This is the third sensor in the last 3 months that I’ve had potentially life-threatening-wrong readings on. What is going on???

Could be better (a Nurse point of view)

RN POV on

I am a nurse and diabetic. Realizing how hard to control diabetes for the average person not in healthcare. The CGM does was it is design for but the app could be better. Diabetic needs to not just carb count. They need to count protein and fat. Counting macronutrients is most important in understanding dietary needs and restrictions. The app could be design for better input of data and automatic calculation of total serving. Right now I have to spell everything out and it is time consuming. A link on the home page to logbook would be nice. Logbook view is important at the beginning if you are doing multiple readings. The home page appeals to most because it is just a “picture” but thorough comprehension requires the numbers to be bold and in your face. You can see the difference better there than on the graph. Still an important app and very crucial for my health and wellbeing. Thanks

Missing basic functionality; app often unresponsive

LAM78XYZ on

Missing basic functionality such as getting the glucose levels at any place in the graph when you slide over it. Now I can only see the exact number when a scan was made. I know you have the data (how else would you generate the graph) - should be easy to get that slide/hover display implemented. Each time I go to scan my sensor I have to click many times for the Scan button to respond. After that it takes forever to do the scan. This didn’t use to be the case but started happening somewhat recently. Came to the App Store today to see if an update was available (that might fix this issue) but I have the latest version. So instead I’m writing this review. Expecting more from such a dominant player in the GCM space.

New version is very spammy

Mike Ellard on

I just upgraded to a new version of the app. Now every time that I do a scan, it asks me for permission to share my health information for marketing purposes. I always say no, and then it asks me again the next time I do a scan. This is very annoying. I suspect that if I ever said yes, then it would never ask me again. The app worked well for me until I upgraded.

Configurar país

Allan24er on

Al instalar la app me da solo la opción de USA como país de origen, se puede cambiar ? Al intentar escanear me dice que la app no es compatible. Tengo iPhone 12 Gracias

Buyer beware

nickfukinnameless on

This product is not good. You will need help from someone to take the applicator off, it sticks every time. The adhesive glue also causes allergic reactions. There are somewhere around a hundred sensor errors a day to a few days at best. I’ve gone through a few just to restart them they fall off so easily, so you need a wrap to keep them on. I’d say this is the worst product of the decade

Behind the times

TrevannaverT on

So I used a freestyle, libre version one for years and the app has always been terrible. I got a freestyle Libre 3 two weeks ago. I love the live readings and the live alerts, but it’s practically useless when you consider the functionality of today’s technology. It doesn’t sync with Apple health, it doesn’t have any widgets, it doesn’t show live readings on your Apple Watch. All of these things should be a piece of cake for them to put together in this day and age -the only excuse that they could possibly have development time and money, which is to say they don’t have an excuse. I’m getting an insulin pump in three months and I’m gonna switch to the Dexcom if they don’t get their act together by then. I should be able to have the sensor on my arm and glance at my Apple Watch or my phone and see the live glucose widget feedback instantly. If I have to open the app to see my glucose, I might as well still be tapping my arm. it’s 2024 and I can have chatGPT make me an app, you should be able to provide your customers with features that have been available elsewhere since 2020.
