Description

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1][2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2]
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission [3]

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

FreeStyle LibreLink – ZA Reviews

ZA Libre 2 app disappointing

JohnDC99 on

South Africa

ZA just moved to Libre 2 and we have lost the running 24 hour stats that I used to manage my progress through the day. This is far more important to me than the auto update function that still requires periodic manual syncing.

Libre 2 is awesome - but Apple Watch widget needed!

DaveSteve7 on

South Africa

Very happy about the introduction of the libre 2 sensors and app. It would be nice to snooze alarms when receiving high alerts, as opposed to dismissing them and you are no longer alerted. I’m also sure that an algorithm could be written to flag trends where readings are spiking, and similarly when dropping quickly. Please also provide support for Apple Watch. This would be a lot more convenient to glance at a widget to show the current reading with a trend arrow.

Great app, just not Apple Watch compatible.

Great app, and fantastic news that freestyle Libre 2 will now be available. Please can you look into having the application compatible with the Apple iWatch . Currently I use the Tomato app with my Miao Miao and am able to view my glucose readings on my watch it would be great if this could all be done through the Libre link App.

Not reading

This Sensor cannot be used with this version of the app….this is the message that pops up when I scan

Great app, but...

J@nni€ on

Hey guys . The app works fine but after the update to IOS 17.4 every time I take a reading the "ready to scan" pop up stays there after the reading was completed. Then I have to click cancel to see the reading. It is a bit irritating. In the past the pop up went away and said scan completed. If you guys could fix that, it would be great!

Glitchy

MM-ZA on

South Africa

Updated the new version and a few bugs that I didn’t have before. Most notably if the app is open, the scan button is unresponsive and then you have to close the app and open again to get a reading. Not sure what they did in the upgrade but this is a pain.

App slowdown

antinvanzijl on

South Africa

Good app, but it becomes unresponsive/slow. Not sure i just scanned too often or if the cache gets full?

Measurement Units (mmol vs mg/dl)

LarryBFox on

South Africa

I find it very frustrating that one can’t choose in which measurements I‘d like to take my readings. I live in South Africa but use the mg/dl to measure my glucose values (as I have learnt in Germany). It should be a choice - no automatic set up per country. With the constant globalization I feel this is very backwards not to give us the option.

Poor performance, slow, bugs don’t get fixed

tmitty18 on

South Africa

This app has just gotten worse and worse. At first back in 2021 it was really good but after about only 3 or 4 updates the app has been ridden with bugs and glitches. Where the app won’t let you scan. And you have to scan 3 times to get a reading. It has been so bad. The fact that there are no regular updates shows that the app development has been neglected. After paying so much for a libre sensor the least you could do is have a good app.

Slow response

User4477876 on

The app is very slow in my iPhone . Often it does a reading but the reading sensor window remains open .
