## Freeya Description
Freeya is the fun and effortless way to give your things a second life. List them, set them out, and let your neighbors take them home.

Built for Free
Everything, from posting items to arranging pick ups to the feed of items, was designed specifically for easily giving and getting free stuff.

Super Fast Posting
List a single item or an entire pile in seconds. Snap an image, describe (if needed), post and and let the app take it from there. No coordinating, no messaging, no negotiating.

Pickups Simplified
See something you want? For most posts, tap to claim it and it's yours. For scheduled pickups, you'll suggest a time and the poster confirms, eliminating the back and forth.

Customizable Browsing
You choose how to “shop”. Toggle between list and map view, set your filters, and zero in on exactly what you're looking for.

Smart Notifications
Freeya keeps you in the loop only when it matters, giving you just the updates you actually need.

Be the First to Know
Looking for something specific? Set a search alert and get notified the moment a neighbor gives one away.

Community Minded
Every item passed along is a small act of generosity. A thank you note after pickup makes sure your neighbors know it.

Our Story
Freeya was founded by the team behind Chip Drop. Connecting neighbors through reuse is the whole reason we exist. Building the best version of Freeya is an ongoing commitment, and your feedback is a big part of how we get there. We'd love to hear from you at support@freeya.com.

## Freeya Reviews in United States

### ***** "Love this app!"
I’ve given away so many cool things and it’s so easy!
-- itsinthenews, 2026-07-28

### ***** "Better than DIY posting"
So far so good! This is great and saves a ton of time arranging pickups, no shows, etc. and setting up an account with the app was no more onerous than any typical set up/account creation.
-- AllieSeven, 2026-06-03

### *---- "craigslist, facebook, offerup are better"
I decide when my address gets released - not you. Nothing gives you the right to violate my privacy that way.
-- Cameron@freeya, 2026-05-09

### ***** "What a Service!"
I almost hesitate to write this but:
I have to move soon, and this app has been a lifesaver. I found a bunch of useful things. I’ve met cool people. Right now I am in a phase of having to rely on others, generosity, but I am looking forward to the day where I can post things for people to pick up.

And I would recommend if you like this app and what it represents read the serviceberry by Robin wall Kimmer.
-- Dan_Mata, 2026-04-27

### ***** "Wow."
My daughter told me about this app and at first I had trouble connecting with their server. Once I got it loaded, I posted 6 items in the morning and they were all claimed within the hour and picked up by the evening.
-- Silvercurls, 2026-02-19

### ***** "Makes giving things away easy!!"
The app makes it really simple to post items and takes all the coordination overhead out of the process! It’s been a huge help for decluttering my space :)
-- rainaelm, 2025-12-31

### ***** "Perfect!!!"
I love Freeya!! Extremely easy to use and benefits everyone involved. 10/10!
-- Lindsey27456, 2025-12-29

### ***** "More people should use this!"
Well designed pick up system for a variety of situations - have had no problems with pick ups!
-- p.newman, 2025-07-29

### ***** "Great experience"
Awesome alternative to Goodwill or Facebook Marketplace for items you no longer need in your life! Scheduled pick-ups make it so easy to pass an item along to a new home. App is intuitive and reliable.
-- MCrissey, 2025-06-16

### *---- "Doesn't support my phone any more"
I used to love listing stuff on this app. But today I opened it up to a cutesy little warning about an update. Here in the app store I see that the app now requires a later version of iOS than my phone supports. So I guess that's it for me. Thanks Freeya, it was fun while it lasted. I hope you make good use of all those iOS 17 specific features that the app now apparently requires.
-- cygnet_signet, 2025-05-26

### ***** "Need a way to block people."
Love the app and the way it works. The only thing it needs is a way to block people. I’ve had three items listed and each time the same person requests a pickup and then never shows up, sometimes several times for the same item.
-- Moon Rabbit, 2025-05-19

### **--- "Improvement Needed to Save Gas & Time"
In theory, Freeya is a great concept and started out strong. Added “features” -like membership so can claim pick up on multiple items, scheduling ahead & no guidelines for listers lean toward epic fail. Too many instances in which you either can’t put “pick up” but the person does NOT actually pick up, driving (using petrol) only to find it’s not there & dealing with posters that feel awful because someone else grabbed the item reserved is awkward & wastes time, energy & gas.
Better explanation of process & respect for people’s time, energy & desire to keep things out of a landfill needs some tweaking to make sure people aren’t waiting in vain or wasting gas & time.
-- OriginalTroubleMaker, 2025-05-19

### ***** "Pay it forward again and again"
This makes it so easy to declutter and connect items with people. No chatting, just a pickup window and that’s it.
-- kimikokolo, 2025-05-18

### ***** "Awesome App!"
Love this app! I wish it was used in more cities-hopefully that’s the goal!
-- Mitts2, 2025-05-15

### ***** "Free stuff! Better than social media."
Easy to use. Low tech. Nobody stealing your data or attention. What’s not to like?
-- team marginal, 2025-04-22

### ***** "So easy"
You know how if you put things on Facebook free, you get a million “is this still available” messages? Freeya completely eliminates that! It’s sooo easy and straightforward.
-- Jack Riv, 2025-04-14

### ***** "Works!"
Very Easy to use. Less coordination and flaking out than with Buy Nothing groups.
-- Elle.effe, 2025-01-23

### ***** "I like this app"
I’ve been using the app for a few years now, and it gets better all the time.
-- scaleene, 2024-12-22

### **--- "Frustrating"
Too restrictive to try and communicate. Only approximate location given initially. You can only unlock chat with seller after a time slot is submitted and accepted by seller to come get the item(s). Only then can you request exact location. If the seller rejects your suggested time, then you have to resubmit a time slot and try again. An item I inquired about the seller rejected the time but replied in a message a time that works for them but since they didn’t properly accept time slot in the app I can’t message them to get the actual address!

### ***** "Love Freeya!"
So easy to use. It feels good to actually know someone who needs my stuff is getting it. Freeya made a recent move so much easier.
