The readings a professional and there are modernized as well as the original versions of Quaker writings from the beginning to the early 20th century. Glaringly missing is the journal and sermons of Elias Hicks. While Hicks was a controversial figure for many, and took the blame for the Hicksite Separation, the story is more nuanced. Many quakers felt threatened by his ideas much like earlier puritans and Anglican’s were threatened by the early Quakers. This is no reason to exclude him from the annals of Quaker thought. -- General Ludd, 2025-04-07 ### ***** "Outstanding" I came across this site after searching online for George Fox’s journal. There is no doubt in my mind that I was directed to find these writings and teachings by the leading of the Lord. They have brought great edification to my spiritual life and the Lord has worked in me to accomplish the experiences and conditions that are being taught by these early Quakers. Thanks be to Jared Henderson for all his labor of love here! -- Fikir of Jesus, 2023-09-26 ### ***** "Flawless!" I’m amazed. An app this niche, complete, and well crafted is something special. -- user95737, 2022-06-21 ### ***** "Lovely, thank you!" Stumbled across this app when I was looking for an update to the old Quaker Queries app (sadly, that app is defunct). This is a lovely act of service, compiling Friends’ writings in audio and ebook format. Thank you! -- J.J. Johnson author, 2021-08-08 ### ***** "100%" I was searching for an audio book of the Journal of George Fox and randomly stumbled upon this app. As somebody rooted in many generations worth of Quaker practice, I was so excited to find these classic works available here. Great audio quality and well read. -- Scosand, 2021-03-05 ### ***** "A treasure trove..." Beyond measure for those whose hearts are truly seeking to know the Lord. -- purplepearl, 2020-11-13 [View all Friends Library reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Friends Library Discovered Keywords -
