This app is an absolute joke this has been developed by aliens, the app is not at all intuitive. I would have expected the process to be simple but no such luck. It has frustrated me no end and the interface is clunky and very dated. I’m not at all impressed so far!
The apps, web interface, and documentation provided by Fronius for their inverters and other products are generally of unacceptable quality. This app, which is supposed to assist in the set-up and WiFi connection of inverters and other devices, seems to have been developed with complete disregard for typical user needs, exceptions occurring during routine use, or even slightly unusual situations, such as connecting an additional inverter to an existing system. I wasted much time reading through extensive but superficial documentation, watching pointless videos, and trying many different options (as I’m a knowledgeable user) before calling the help desk. My installation, which was not particularly unusual, simply could not have been completed without the assistance of the help desk. Fronius needs to take a long, hard look at their SW products and documentation, and have some consideration for customers and other users. The observation that they don’t even seem to bother with acknowledging recent reviews on the App Store probably says something about their attitude to their customers. Unacceptable and disappointing. I feel the relatively high price of their products is unjustified and would not recommend them.
This App is very poorly designed. Not user friendly. Complete rewrite needed
The steps I had to go through to get data from my inverter was truely unbelieveable. From poor documentation to missing information that was only found by googling; to a totally unreliable set of IOS apps and web site. I have set up other brands inverters and had no problems but Fronius, I will certainly look elsewhere if I need to get another soler inverter.
Never worked for GEN24 inverters. Set the country code - press next and that’s the last thing the app will do.
The old app did work, now we have the new app. I did all the setting connections, change to inverter wifi, change back, it’s stuck in the 192 network status. Can no longer log into account and the reset password never sends an email. Tried to reset up the account, but my email is already registered, back to the password reset. Is there someone I can call?
The inverter was installed and wifi and app set up by installer. The app looked great and provided real time information for about an hour!! I registered the product and then attempted to apply for the Fronius 5+5 warranty but message kept coming up ‘warranty selection Incomplete (1/1)’. I tried multiple times without any luck at all. FAILURE 1👎 THEN the solar.web current power isn’t providing information as its constantly offline. I’ve logged in and out multiple times but OFFLINE so I really I can’t access what I thought was going to be some great information. FAILURE 2👎 Sadly, my rating is only 1 star as the app only had a 1 hour lifespan and I still access the free extended 5+5 warranty. Given up! 😟
Shout out to Fronius and the new Solar.start app. Great interface
