FRONTSTEPS Community Reviews

Useless

We all received email encouraging residents to register in directory …and it indicated dismay that there are so few residents that have provided their names in the directory. That’s comical because the instructions they provided to remedy this were useless. They say to login & then tap name in right corner.Name is nowhere to be found on the entire screen Which directory system are you giving instructions for?! Furthermore they do not provide instructions on how to edit a name or info that is in directory. Please bring back the paper directories. They weren’t perfect but way better than this.

Horrible APP! Not worth the time, frustration and confusion!

The app is truly horrible, and the website is not much better either. Whomever designed them made it extremely not user friendly. The tabs/links aren’t necessarily clear regarding which to chose based upon the task/issue you want to address. The tabs/links then send you to a page that’s also not directly helpful, clear or necessarily what you’re looking for. Even the tutorials are poorly designed. When you look for support/help, it just brings you to snippets of information that aren’t clear/somewhat confusing and there’s no way to directly reach out to management or an app support representative . It then has you running in circles trying to find the clear/helpful info to actually reach out to get support. Outside of calling management directly, this website and app interface is made to prevent you from directly reaching out to management nor quickly getting what you’re looking for. Why would someone want to use technology that only complicates how/where to get information and do what you want to do? I understand the app is supposed to be a more condensed quick connect, but the app isn’t user friendly at all, is limited and missing the most typical links/access someone may want/need. It’s no where near quick and easy. Why isn’t there a top/easy access constantly visible setting button/tab on the website and app that the user can check and edit/change their account info., profile, manage notifications, and set tabs/links which the user wants to access quickly/use frequently first. Where is the visible easy access visitor/new resident tab that someone can quickly and easily get to add/edit/delete? We’re going to have a gate that no one can get in/out without the homeowner/resident setting up/permitting access. Where is a visible quick/easy tab/link to post, edit and look up classified adds for our community? When looking up bulletins, it takes you to the oldest/years old first and then you need to keep advancing page after page to reach more recent postings. It should be the other way around. Why would someone want sift thru bulletins that are 10yrs old first? Like I and many others have stated, the is an extremely poorly thought out app/website. It doesn’t make things quicker, easier, more functional nor better organized for our home owners and community.

No way of accessing settings to stop erroneous “reminder” emails. Our community doesn’t even engage with communication of any kind and there is no calendar. I don’t even know why this is necessary except for payments and frankly it’s the only information I can access. I have deleted the account entirely as it’s useless and I make payments via old fashioned mail. All property management companies and community associations should be REQUIRED to include monthly community notes and calendar on the dashboard. Our property management isn’t very helpful. Got the runaround about “settings” to change email communication but guess what? It doesn’t even exist in the app! Waste of time and effort. Customer service is difficult to reach and takes their time to respond. It should be a click, a chat or a call not a form and a week or no reply. Not worth the aggravation. Useless for owners, only helps property managers with collecting dues.

The WORST app ever

1 star is way too high for this app, sad l can’t rate it 0 stars. That sums it all up.

Terrible

This app is way way better than it’s website, but still not very good. I think FRONTSTEPS is the worse designed website and app I have ever encountered. They have a million tutorials because it lacks any common sense. Absolutely the worst!

Worst

This is a way to keep the community uninformed about what management or the board is doing. It’s difficult, if not impossible to find any documents on it. Logging into the site is a half hour process on a good day. If you have options, run from this program.

Terrible App to Support Terrible HOA

iOS Engineer on

The app is clearly some poorly built cross-platform garbage that is extremely slow, difficult to navigate, and can’t even keep you signed in. If I didn’t have to use it to pay my worthless HOA, I would delete immediately.

Seriously?

Bethtx_2000 on

Does anyone even monitor these reviews? Terrible app that maybe does what it’s designed to do? Keep homeowners from contacting management companies? Developers should be ashamed.

Terrible app

Sully Tampa on

Not even an app, just an app that wraps a web browser, doesn’t even remember who you are. Would go less than 1/5 if I could, devs didn’t even try.
