These high frequency words should be recognized instantly by readers. Dr. Edward B. Fry's Instant Words (which are often referred to as the "Fry Words") are the most common words used in English ranked in order of frequency. In 1996, Dr. Fry expanded on Dolch's sight word lists and research and published a book titled "Fry 1000 Instant Words." In his research, Dr. Fry found the following results: 25 words make up approximately 1/3 of all items published. 100 words comprise approximately 1/2 of all of the words found in publications. 300 words make up approximately 65% of all written material. To make learning the Fry Words fun, simple, and easy, we have broken all 1,000 Fry words into unique sets of 10 words each and created 12 fun and engaging games to keep kids engaged and wanting to learn more. It is very good even for younger students. But have tried emailing the “Review” results, but they have yet to have sent. -- Not your slave, 2022-09-21 ### *---- "It just crashes" I just drag the sound to a word and it crashes! -- Dumb I, 2022-05-18 ### *---- "Inappropriate!!!" I deleted this game after I found that the picture for the sight word “down” was a man with his hand down his pants! -- Midnight mommy, 2019-11-11 ### ****- "Font problems" Great app that I use in an elementary Resource Room for students needing sight word practice. My only complaint is that the font makes certain words, like “first”, make the “f” and “i” run together and look like a weird “h”. Not the sort of thing struggling reader need. I’d give it a 5 star rating if that was fixed. -- Radrian123, 2019-02-06 ### ***** "Absolutely superb!" Through our local literacy center, I’m working with an elderly gentleman who doesn’t get phonics, but is able to acquire vocabulary by learning to recognize words. Unfortunately, his memory is very bad, so this app has been an immense help because of the multifaceted approach it offers to each set of 10 words. It offers the possibility of a lot of repetition without ever becoming boring. It’s been a godsend! -- MamaJohn, 2018-06-11 ### ***** "Short quick lessons" My daughter was a reluctant reader. She struggled and hated reading. I love this app for teaching these words to kids. The lessons are short and simple. We do them often. It's easy to do when we are on the go. Like standing in line at the store, or in the car, or anywhere. I had her do a quick lesson 3 times in a row. It's just 5 min spent here and there but because it's so repetitive before long she knew all the words like a pro! -- Cnm325, 2017-08-26 ### ***** "Fry words games" Just more reinforcement of the word lists. The students look forward to starting their time with me by doing 5-10 minutes of Fry. Great app. -- Vicious stardom, 2017-03-08 ### ***** "Love!" Great app for my children who loves to spell. -- JazzyMoMabc, 2016-01-05 ### ***** "Awesome App. Daughter loves it" This app helps my daughter build her vocabulary. She gets happy when she sees that she knows a new word. It is helpful when I am out and doing things and she can still learn. I don't understand why some people would write a bad review about a good app. Thanks to the company for making it possible for my daughter to learn new words. -- Ldkgnt, 2016-01-04 ### ***** "What else could you need?" This is an amazing app, I recommend for any one teaching or learning high frequency words. I'm a teacher and creating this activities myself took so much time and paper. My students weren't that in to paper activities but once they saw the games this app has to offer they have truly enjoyed learning high frequency words. The best part is that the games are differentiated. Dyslexia, speech, students without fine motor behavior skills etc can all enjoy and learn equally from this app. -- Mango 15, 2015-12-18 [View all Fry Words Games and Flash Cards reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Fry Words Games and Flash Cards In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Unlock Everything | $2.99 | ## Fry Words Games and Flash Cards Discovered Keywords -
