App just keeps getting better
From a bare bones (but still pretty good) start, the app just keeps improving. Great work, Fujifilm - good to see the focus on firmware and the app from Fuji.

Description
FUJIFILM XApp is an app. provided by Fujifilm Corporation. Once users pair a Fujifilm digital camera with their smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth®, they can transfer captured images and movies to their smartphone or tablet, control the camera remotely, backup and restore camera settings, synchronize date, time, and location, and update firmware.
The Wi-Fi function of smartphones or tablets is also used for transferring captured images and videos, and updating firmware.
In addition, by signing in to Fujifilm's network service, daily shooting activities using the camera can be automatically summarized in a diary format.
This service is useful for reviewing their photographic activities and improving their photographic skills.

Ok But Buggy
I’m experiencing a bug with time synchronisation. Living in a timezone of +930 results in the camera (XT-3) time being set 18 hours into the future. I have reported the issue to FujFilm Australia.
Doesn’t recognise XF Lens
Apart from everything else mentioned about loose access to private data, the app does not recognise my 33/1.4 lens on the X-T5.
Despite reporting to Fuji this app still has a bug
I have discovered a bug with this app in regards to time. Where it will set the time 18hours ahead no matter what I do as soon as I connect the camera to the phone. I have reported this to Fuji via email a few version ago now. Through a reddit post the is bug appears to only affect people in a time zone which falls on a half increment. This highly disappointing.
Why do you need access?
New app is much better for location syncing, but why do you need access to my photos in order for me to transfer photos from the camera to my iPhone?!? There’s no way I’m giving a third-party app complete access to my photo library, that’s just crazy.
Update - A Massive Improvement
After the new seat update the app is finally working! Really enjoy the interface and experience - so happy they’ve found the issue and sorted it.
Developers have fixed the privacy issues
Kudos to Fuji for listening and adjusting the app to not require location access at all times.
No raw support? Really?
Just switched to the Fuji system after using Canons for for over a decade. I have been able to transfer raw files from my Canon 6D since it came out in 2012. Very disappointing to find I can only transfer jpgs with Fuji! Aside from that I quite like the app. Easy to use and has some nice features.
Finally fixed the location requirement.
Shouldn’t have been mandatory for location access to begin with but at least it’s fixed now.
Main use doesn't work on iphone
Only use for this app is image transfer/remote control, neither of which function on my iphone. However it works flawlessly on my ipad. Beyond that there are also the privacy issues.
