Images never load

ChubbyWhippet on

I always get “no memory card in slot, or no image in the memory card.”

Great! But please…

The images get imported the wrong way around. The newest is always the first instead of the oldest. Please follow the metadata: oldest to newest photo import.

A big improvement

JIM Turnbull on

Let’s be thankful for a significant improvement in the Fuji app. Yes , still a bit “clunky” but in terms of features and consistency a really massive improvement. Like all the features especially being able to backup and restore all settings so easily and upgrade firmware via your phone. Super.

Terrible privacy

paintCodeUser on

Requires always on location and full photo access. Doesn’t follow GDPR

Does not work without sharing location data

Meh12348 on

The app will not even work without sharing location data, and then only if you select “always”. I am unwilling to permanently share my location and thus unable to use the app. I understand it also needs full access to photos (I did not get beyond my refusal of sharing location data), this would for me also be a hard “no”. It’s a shame as I love all things fuji, and am shure that they can do better.

Does everything it claims perfectly!

Geeeennn on

Great working app! Connects within a few seconds. Automatically geotags my photos when connected with my phone (it evens automatically connects!). Transferring a few jpegs in less than 20 seconds. And the activity overview is fun to use. I’ve got an camera update yesterday and within 2 minutes my camera (x-t4) was updated without any hassle. Thanks Fuji!

Full and constant access to location is a non-starter

dnivi3 on

This app requires full and constant access to location services on your phone to even open. I personally don’t care for geotagging my photos, why should I be forced to do it to just transfer photos to my phone? I did not even get to use or try out the core functionality of the app because it requires this access, which I am not willing to give. Just let me transfer the photos to my phone without it. Do better Fuji; your customers pay large sums for high-end cameras that are great, but the software that is accompanied with it seems to be made by incompetents with directly user-hostile attitudes. Your products are high-end, the accompanied software should be as well. Do better.

Continuous location access for a crappy app

NielsKersic on

The app is slightly less awful than the previous one. It definitely seems more reliable when connecting to my X-T4. Besides that it’s just as clunky as the last one. Worst of all: you have to give the app permission to always get your location to even use it. Not just when you’re using the app, ALWAYS. There is no way that this is needed for the app to function correctly and I simply don’t trust Fujifilm’s developers to keep my data safe.

Released too soon

Rankhar on

This app has serious privacy issues, I doubt whether this is even compliant with European regulations. Also, I always get a notification about problems with the wifi whenever i transfer images. Transfer also seems slow, even with resized files. The pictures also transfer in reverse chronological order. Rather crappy app for a company that makes such high-tech equipment.

A reason to leave Fuji

m|ck on

This app does not support older models like the XT-20 or the X-Pro2. I was hoping that this app would replace the older app. It also demands to have location service on (Always) even though I don’t use gps or care about where the photo is taken. And really, pushing notofications to be required?.. I was considering on buying a medium format camera like the GFX series but Fuji blew it for me. As much as I love my X-Pro2, it was the last Fuji I bought. Too bad it isn’t possible to give half of a star
