Connection, function and design
Such a shame that a company like Fuji film aren't able to develop a better app in term of stability and design as well as functionality.
Connection
If I turn of the Bluetooth in my x100v, and then back on. It wont recognize the phone and are in need of new pairing with the device.
Function
The “preview” or mobile connection to check the frame is also a hit or miss function that sporadically works or not.
Design
Could use a UX overhaul, example to be able to check the manual og search within the app for issues, function description etc.
Need to open the app for geotagging each time the camera goes to sleep mode
The X App and X-T5 doesn't reconnect for geotagging location sync if the camera sleeps or I turn it off and on again. I need to unlock my phone and make sure the app is active. And I can't lock the phone until the camera has connected, otherwise it won't connect.
The X App also forgets the serial number of my X-T5 in the equipment tab every time it connects to my camera.
Doesn’t work
I’ve connected it to my xt3. Updated the camera to latest firmware, but it can’t find the photos on the camera. Says that card is empty when it’s not
Location permission
This app simply won’t work if you don’t allow the app to ALLWAYS track your location.
I have to share my location at all times
Not happening.
Much better!
This app actually works. I use it with my X-T5 cameras and I have almost no problems.
My only issue is that it requires access to your location all the time, which I don’t like.
And when backing up the settings, it also backs up the custom file naming I have set up, which is not good when you have multiple cameras that are supposed to have unique file names. It’s quick to fix in camera, but you have to remember to do it.
Over all, I think this app is fantastic.
Not privacy friendly
Should work with selective access to photos and access to location while using.
Might be degraded experience for the user, but that decision should be left to the user.
App needs to be open for location to work
The moment I turn my X-T4 off and on again I need to open the app to reconnect app and phone. Otherwise it will keep the last gps coordinates instead of getting new ones. That’s useless if you want to save battery.
Ingen støtte for X-T2
Så frem til denne app-en men ble veldig skuffet da vi med X-T2 ikke inkluderes i de gode selskap.
Useless for location
My use for the XApp is to add location data to the camera. I have to open my prone and keep the app upfront for that to work. Yes, I have given all the permission and set syncronization to «always». The old app did this from within my pocket.
