FUJIFILM XApp is an app. provided by Fujifilm Corporation. Once users pair a Fujifilm digital camera with their smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth®, they can transfer captured images and movies to their smartphone or tablet, control the camera remotely, backup and restore camera settings, synchronize date, time, and location, and update firmware.
The Wi-Fi function of smartphones or tablets is also used for transferring captured images and videos, and updating firmware.
In addition, by signing in to Fujifilm's network service, daily shooting activities using the camera can be automatically summarized in a diary format.
This service is useful for reviewing their photographic activities and improving their photographic skills.

The app becomes worse and worse
With every app/camera update download time becomes longer and longer. Minutes before, now it’s an hour to download 30 photos. Connection stability also suffers with every upgrade, need to reconnect multiple times now.

Connection nightmares
With the old app I was at least able to connect to my XT3 to update firmware. This version I can’t even connect. This app is useless…
Improvements in the wrong direction
Compared to the old application, the XApp connects much more efficiently to the camera, but in terms of usability, that's pretty much it... Many new gadgets have been introduced, e.g. how many photos I took with which lens and where, etc., but for me it's completely unnecessary. Basic functionalities are still missing, such as live view zooming (eg for focusing), full-screen horizontal live view or electronic level preview. What is also very irritating is the fact that the application does not take the settings from the camera - it changes them to those set on the iPad. You can’t operate via the camera at all, even the camera display is black, when connected to iPad. You also can't take a photo with the camera trigger or the camera cord - the shutter release only works via the app so you take photos with a delay! Note: when you disconnect the app, the camera settings are changed to those set in the application!
Very slow and unresponsive live shooting
The camera is amazing, but the app is the worst I have experienced so far, taking live photos is extremely slow and unworkable, with the updates I’m waiting up to two minutes for it to actually turn on, setting each value takes a lot of time as I have to wait for the camera to readjust each step, I’m using the X-H2 and paired with this app it feels like some vintage electronic novelty instead of a technological wonder that the camera is with it’s capabilities.
Not working if not allowed to surveil alll the time.
App refuses to work altogether if it’s not given privileges to check location all the time. It’s ridiculous- I don’t use geotagging (as it’s not really working well anyway) through the app. Huge let down which forces me to go through system settings two times each time I want to use the app.
