## GAF Wi Reviews in United States

### *---- "Plain old garbage"
This app doesn’t work and neither does the other version you’ll find on the App Store . Both just don’t work at all . Customer service is not knowledgeable or even helpful . It’s almost like this is an orphaned product . And looking at the reviews - others have been having this problem since its inception . Don’t buy this product !
-- 2019 optima sxl, 2024-04-23

### *---- "No support"
Bought gable vent with wi-fi in 2020. Lost password to connect. GAF has no documentation on its website from legacy products. I just needed the password… Guess what. Its GAF12345. found from a review on google play store. If you want a tech product with zero support, documentation. buy this
-- Freshtracks, 2023-06-25

### *---- "Total garbage!"
So many problems with this app and the process, and tech support couldn’t care less!
-- Brad Thorn, 2023-06-24

### ***-- "Hit and Miss"
Operates as a standalone Wi-Fi server or Bluetooth. Relatively easy to use and operate. Generally set and forget. Wi-Fi connection is frustrating as it drops out and you can only reconnect by shutting the power on and off. It is what it is and easier than climbing in the attic every time you want to make an adjustment

### *---- "This app is a joke"
I paid the extra $10 or $20 for this fan due to it’s so called “wifi” capability.

What a joke. Can’t connect to my home network of other smart devices. If I could give this zero stars I would.
-- KTGLaguna, 2022-09-02

### *---- "This app is garbage"
Just like everyone else said, it doesn’t connect for $h!t.
-- Sak509, 2022-05-08

### *---- "Really not WiFi connected."
You need to switch to vent WiFi every time you want to control the vent. Also you can check it remotely. Very inconvenient to keep switching WiFi from home to vent WiFi every time.

It does not connect to your home network.
-- Coolcatiger, 2022-02-10

### *---- "Waist of space…"
Most positive reviews are from new installers. Unfortunately they will learn this App will only let you view the default programming if you can get it to connect properly. It will not allow you save or change the default programming to the device. It will eventually default back the standard program every time. This app is useless as is the wifi device it connects to. The negative reviews are from users who have owned the device and realized their set programs where never set.
-- ElBarto247, 2021-09-18

### *---- "WiFi? Not so much…"
Connects only to the GAF WiFi internal to the vent…no way to connect the vent to my home WiFi. So no way to monitor/control the vent when I’m away from home. Stupid…
-- WiFi? Not really..., 2021-07-24

### *---- "Very weak app"
This is a really poor app. At best it can be given one star because you can set the vent fan & turn it on & off which in my case eliminates the need for a ladder in the attic. It does not connect to your network so you cannot control it outside the home. Using wifi you either connect to the fan or you home network. The best choice is to connect via Bluetooth after updating the firmware. It even lacks the ability to refresh without closing & reopening the app. I expected better from GAF. Hopefully they will improve it over time but based on my brief encounter with their support staff I doubt it.
