This is a beautiful app. It’s got just the right features from the bgg website. Enough to be useful and fast, but not bloated.
I’m not sure why I gave my Board Games Geek info to it to allegedly sync with this app. It doesn’t. Really a shame, as this app would be incredible if it did actually sync with BGG.
Does what iwould be expect and has BGG ratings and lists integrated.
So far, I’m a fan. Very good layout, easy to navigate. But it’s missing vital options like “sort alphabetically” and “swipe to delete”. This is crucial when you have 100+ games. A few small tweaks could make this the perfect board game manager. Now over a year old. I think this has been abandoned.
Why cant I search for games for 5 players? There are lots of games that go up to 5. If you can write code for 4 and 6, surely you can for 5.
This app is amazing! I love having all the information I need in order to expand my board game library. A barcode scanner would make it even better. Just a suggestion
Love it
I wish there was a system set up where I can rate the games that I own in the app. Just so I can have a visual right there when I’m looking back through my games of what I liked the most about them and what I didn’t like about them. The collection keeps expanding, so it’s nice to have the words down of how I feel about certain games. Also if my friends look through my profile, they see how I feel about the games I own.
The app looks very well laid out. It has a spacious and modern UI feel that is in stark contrast to many of the other BGG apps available. But to take advantage of what limited functionality they have around My Account, I need to pass a sign up page. It was not clear whether the sign up was for this standalone app, or my BGG credentials, so I decided to check into it by reading the privacy policy that they say you agree to iby creating an account. That link goes to a website with no privacy policy at all. Indeed it’s basically just a marketing page, with a newsletter sign up and marketing onagery as per the app store listing. Unfortunately that created enough hesitation that I have not moved forward with using the app. 2 stars is for the hope it grows into what its early promise suggests.
