Who doesn't like eating well for less? One of the best ways to do this is through picking up reduced price food, often marked with a yellow sticker, at a supermarket or convenience store. Only issue with this is, you have to be in the store to know what food has been yellow stickered and even then it can be difficult to find it ... well that is all about to change with Gander! Gander is a world first mobile app that displays reduced to clear (often yellow-stickered) food & drink, from local convenience stores and supermarkets in real time! Shopping will never be the same again with delicious reduced food only one swipe away! Did you know, each year, 1/3 of all food produced is thrown away? At Gander we want to help put an end to food waste, by helping retailers stop avoidable food surplus and waste in the first place. Reduced to clear food is normally yellow-stickered because it is coming up to its sell by date, it has been over-ordered (we all do it!) or the packaging has some light damage. What does this mean? This food is still PERFECTLY GREAT TO EAT, yet so much still goes to waste. Not only that, this same delicious food is often at substantially discounted prices. So, if you love great food at cheap prices, want to save money and have an environmental conscience, download Gander now and save money and help reduce food waste Find it. Collect it. Enjoy it … In real time! Gander makes it that simple. ********************************************* Real Time - As soon as a convenience store or supermarket yellow-stickers something it will appear on the app. As soon as the food is sold, it is removed. That means what you are seeing is all in real time! FIND IT – You can browse reduced and discounted food however you want on the Gander app! By location, food type and dietary/preference. We have you covered. - Have a favourite store, no problem, add it to your favourites and we’ll let you know when they start reducing so you never miss a great discount. - Found something you like the look of? Add it to your watchlist and be kept informed of if it sells out or there are only a few left. We’ll do this all automatically for you. COLLECT IT – Found some items you fancy? Rush down to the store to collect them and enjoy paying substantially less money for that same great food! ENJOY IT – whether you have just bought a meal, ingredients, some discount drinks or actually absolutely anything that those stores have to offer, now it’s time to enjoy it for so many reasons. You have saved a pretty penny, have fantastic food to eat and saved the planet in the process! Win, win win! Kudos. ************************************************** ## Gander Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple113/v4/ef/a3/c8/efa3c836-2554-bfa4-e57b-830aa8e11c0a/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple113/v4/b6/3d/32/b63d32f7-52a6-199e-0030-2c879edff045/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple113/v4/3c/ca/d3/3ccad32a-fe65-6c89-49ce-ec57935fc982/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple113/v4/d5/4e/b4/d54eb41b-4972-b4cb-69c6-a8369753ed19/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) ## Gander Rating Breakdown in United Kingdom - 5 stars: 37 (47%) - 4 stars: 4 (5%) - 3 stars: 10 (13%) - 2 stars: 6 (8%) - 1 stars: 22 (28%) ## Gander Reviews in United Kingdom ### ***-- "Scotland" This app is really good but It’s doesn’t really work in Scotland it does work in some places but not all over. -- ChloeFortune44, 2024-10-13 ### *---- "Mr" There 3 Spar stores in Omagh and 2 have been took off tha list . -- robbiedee02, 2024-09-18 ### ***-- "No stores" Nice idea, but the closest store to me that uses it is 44.5km away ☹️ -- KJ Gracie, 2024-05-12 ### *---- "Used to be good" Was good at the start when I first downloaded it. Was able to find some good bargains. The nearby Spar stores have started hiding reduced items now in the back of the store until closing time when the staff themselves buy them to bring home. This renders the app useless. I only realised this as a staff member I know through a friend told me they were doing this. Misleading when you spend money on fuel to drive to a shop to buy items that are showing as available on the app but never instore. These reduced items then disappear from the app when staff go home. Dishonest and wastes customers time. Would be good if more shops were added to the app that didn’t take the items for themselves -- Harryfan38, 2024-01-30 ### ***** "Great App" Great app, launching in more areas now so better for most consumers -- BB77888999, 2023-05-24 ### **--- "Inaccurate" Hardly anything there when you get there even though the app says otherwise -- liz/ 172/72, 2023-04-18 ### ***-- "Great idea" This app is great when it works, however we find that staff are taking the best stuff out the back for themselves (we have seen this happening in Eurospar) so the stock levels are not correct. -- SqueaksMageeks, 2022-01-23 ### *---- "Missing items" This is a great idea in theory , however the Lagan valley Lisburn eurospar and greens in Lisburn are constantly having huge amounts of missing items. I drive over there as it’s advertised on the app only to find it’s not in the store. Brought this to the attention of Eurospar management who seemed unconcerned and uninterested . It looks to me like the staff are being offered these items first but they are not being run through the till in order to come off the app. So frustrating ! If this was sorted it’s otherwise brilliant. -- marion72, 2021-09-26 ### **--- "Misleading" This has been touted as a reduce food waste app. When actually it just appears to be a tool for Henderson Retail to promote their i store offers. Really quite misleading, especially considering the huge issue of food waste. -- mrnickheath, 2021-08-06 ### ****- "Adding Reductions" This is a great idea for an app, I work for a supermarket chain and in charge of reductions, but how can I add my store and the items that I reduce? -- SM1THSON7, 2021-05-12 [View all Gander reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Gander Discovered Keywords -
