Gardening apps are often over complicated, Gardenate is the only one I’ve found to be genuinely useful and well designed for primary use cases. I can’t thank the developer enough for their work and keeping it free of charges - I would happily donate on Patreon or something!
I love the Gardenate app. I’ve been recording in a paper gardeners diary and am just beginning to use the app for recording this season instead. I’d love to be able to set reminders for succession planting and I wonder if this is a feature that could be added in future updates? Or maybe I just haven’t discovered a succession planting feature quite yet?
A very fun and easy to use app! I love that you can make your own ‘garden’ and add your own plants to the list. It has a great sowing/planting calendar tailored to your climate zone you can hide plants you won’t use. There’s a detailed information page for each plant with a straightforward planting schedule, non/compatible plants and other uses. Some feedback: ‘NZ Spinach’ could be placed under the list as Spinach (NZ) for easier locating. A ‘help’ button from the menu (I already forgot what the plant numbers mean). The option to add photos to diary entries or individual plantings. Overall, a very cool app to have and worth more than the price. Thanks to you and your mum for taking the time to make it!
Hi Admin i am new to gardening and i have some querries. I am from Rotorua NZ Chilli peppers also Hot peppers Capsicum sp. Jan F M A M J J A S O N Dec S S T T P 1 Recommended growing months For chilli S = Grow in seed trays T = Transplant seedlings P = Sow seed in garden 123 = Your Plantings Germinates at soil temperatures between 18°C and 35°C Germinates in 8 to 20 days Grow in seed trays, and plant out in 4-6 weeks Space plants 40-50 cm apart Harvest 9-11 weeks. Wear gloves to pick 'hot' chilies Now can you please explain this for me When you say grow in seed tray is it indoor? Is that for if its August and Sepetember? Transplant seedlings does it mean if its one did germination on tray its time to transfer is garden for the months october and nov? And again if its dec month one can sow a seed straight or does ot mean can do germination straight on garden mean? And what does 123 mean? Germinates in 8 to 20 days does it mean it takes 1week to 3weeks and Grow in seed trays, and plant out in 4-6 weeks does it mean once it get germinates after 1-3 week count again 4-6 week then plant out in garden? And again Harvest 9-11 weeks. Wear gloves to pick 'hot' chilies, does it mean once you plant out count again 9-11 weeks to harvest? Please clarify
Love the simplicity of this app. Straight forward to use with fantastic information. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a productive garden.
This is a great simple to use app and with only one day ive logged all my recent couple of months plantings. Everything is in pots as i live in flats with no gardens. Labeled my pots and seed trays and hopefully are more organised with the help of this app!!
Well thought out app, well done guys
Very useful app but would be better if multiple images could be imported at one time.
Great app and easy to use. Very informative. I'd like it if would help guide me more around companion planting for rotation beds.
