I gave it a chance, but this new home screen layout is terrible. Talk about change just for the sake of it! The previous version was more user friendly and customizable while showing far more data “at a glance” than this new layout, which is full of empty space. Why is everything that was easily glanceable and data rich now spread all over to different sections? Can we at least get all of the at a glance cards on the main page instead of having to tap “see all”? While you’re at it, how about a dark mode icon? Connect IQ has had one for a couple of months…but nothing for this app….seriously?! It’s very disappointing that Garmin has taken their software in this direction. My FR965 is a great watch, but if this is an indicator of where things are going it may be my last Garmin..
Since the recent update, abnormal high heart rates no longer show on the heart rate page. It’s turned on, I get the notifications on my Venu Sq 2 watch, but they do not show on the graph and ALL my previous abnormal heart notification data is deleted. Please fix this!!
The app is great. Provides a lot of info. However, the whole Garmin system needs work. One key addition needed is periodization. Athletes need to train smart and having the ability to set periodization and have Garmin take this into consideration when analyzing data and making suggestions. As it is right now, Garmin sometimes pushes people to train irresponsibly based on how it analyzes user data. I am an endurance coach and hear athletes complain how Garmin is telling them they need to push harder when they in fact need to be taking it easy in certain periods of their annual training plan.
Title. Eww. Horrible. If I ever close the app I need to re sign in and spend ten minutes syncing my phone back to the watch. Don’t waste your time.
My running experience totally changed for the better once I got my Garmin watch and started using Garmin connect. Best thing since sliced bread… (more carbs to run more)
Look at the reviews since the last update that changed the layout. Not too impressive. You’re losing customers I’m sure. Please switch back to the older layout. It was fine for working on a phone. It’s been a few months since you changed and if you are actually READING the reviews you would admit the bad update and change it back. And stop listening to all you bot reviews. But guess garmin doesn’t care????? See ya. Heading to Apple after over 10 years with you guys.
I love my garmin watch and the app. Together they are great fitness motivators and trackers.
Many issues but the most recent being “Failed to update workout try again”. Coming from an Apple Watch guy there seems to be a lot of people posting how bad this app is and for a $1600 watch I’m pretty disappointed. Figure it out Garmin.
I love the different exercises that it has on the app. It is super user friendly. There are lots of exercises that can be done in a wheelchair.
