## Gather Reviews in United States

### ***** "Just what I was looking for!"
I was just talking to my family this morning about “someday when I make my personal foraging map app…” what a nice surprise that Jesse did it for me!

But- to all the people on their iPhones (because these are Apple Store reviews) tanking the score of a passionate independent developer’s app: you should be ashamed.

People’s time isn’t free. Stop expecting to be given the product of their hard work for nothing. Support small developers making things you like and that you care about!
-- Laperryfave, 2025-12-03

### *---- "Subscription shock"
I was expecting to maybe do a one time purchase but when I saw the monthly price I raised an eyebrow. Oh well.
And the kicker is that you cannot do anything without paying.
As of 12-1-25 going to delete app but if you change your mind to a one time purchase that’s realistic-feel free to reach out. I met the young man in battleground at an event where he had a booth and offered to take him
Morel hunting at my land. When I messaged him close to time he never
Responded back and still hasn’t.
-- Autism father, 2025-12-02

### ***** "Just what I needed!"
Love the new journal feature in this app. I feel like this will be a game-changer for my foraging journey, and really help me keep a better record of my spots.
-- Baba_mantar, 2025-11-27

### ***** "Amazing!"
There is so much thought put into this app! I see bad reviews about subscription cost but not about content. It is well worth the money for someone who uses it regularly.
-- AppaLover4life, 2025-11-27

### *---- "subscription based - no free plan"
sad times, came really excited from instagram just to not even get past the subscription screen because there’s no free plan. hopefully this changes but if you’re a fellow new forager PictureThis is a good identification app for plants!
-- ily.nevaeh, 2025-10-26

### *---- "We could own books for hundreds of years now"
Reject subscriptions
-- UCScarlet, 2025-10-18

### *---- "Gross"
Why on earth is this a subscription based app? Greed? It seems like a digital field guide and an already complete application. No significant changes in the future other than tuning and fixes means it should be a purchase. If this were a reasonably priced purchased app I would be happy to buy it and support a small creator. No service is truly being offered to justify a subscription model. Especially $60?! Making a ‘digital book’ subscription based is disgusting.
-- Lds221, 2025-10-17

### ***-- "Really"
I was excited about your new app and would have been willing to outright purchase it, but a monthly or yearly fee turns me off. Let people know upfront that there is a continuing fee.
-- PennyK61, 2025-10-16

### *---- "Requires subscription"
This app requires a subscription to use any of the features. I would have preferred an app that allows you to use limited features for free with an option to subscribe for wider or more precise features (ie info on berries and fruits are free but mushrooms and other plants/herbs are only available to subscribers).
-- Izzy022222, 2025-09-10

### ***** "Beautiful app, very helpful"
The app itself is very responsive and well designed, high res pictures and intuitive to use. Everything I would want to start foraging. Great work!
