## GCBuddy Description
GCBuddy is the perfect tool for the serious geocacher when solving multi-caches. With this application you can record all found values for A...Z and use them to automatically calculate new waypoint coordinates. The final cache coordinates are also calculated as soon as all required puzzles have been solved and entered. You can also record the exact spot where you parked your car or bike, so you can find it back after caching.

- Management of multiple caches in a list of downloaded caches
- Download from geocaching.com, opencache.uk and other opencaching sites
- Prepare a multi-cache at home, also possible on your PC or Mac using a simple web interface.
- All images in the description are downloaded: paperless caching!
- Navigate to the parking place
- Enter answers to questions at each waypoint
    * Common text calculations like word value
    * Stack counting
    * Convert roman numbers
- Change the value of an answer and immediately see the effect on a map with waypoints
- Waypoints are automatically calculated using the values for A...Z
- Location of the final cache is also calculated automatically in this way
- Built-in compass/map for navigation to the next waypoint
- Overview map with all waypoints
- Warning by vibration or sound when you are near the waypoint
- Accurately record data at a waypoint with your camera.
- Album for each cache with the possibility to view the pictures with the ultra zoom photo viewer.
- Notes can be entered before or during the cache
- Log directly on geocaching.com after the find if you wish
- Find your way back to the car park
- Send an e-mail with all the information of a cache as backup or to a friend
- Write with one click all cache information in the (online) personal cache note
- Restore a cache from a backup e-mail
- Protect a cache against changes
- Backup/Restore via iCloud

### ***** "Truly amazing"
This app is just amazing for solving/tracking multi geocaches. 

Keeping track of waypoints and clues, taking pictures from tags/hints while tagging them to the wp. 

Having the most common calculations automatically available. 

Most of the time it recognizes coordinates to paste in the location fields. 

Being able to use a webserver to edit caches up front on your pc is a big help. 

And today discovered a new feature I didn’t know was there. 
I missed a clue and ended up in the wrong place. We knew which one was wrong. Then saw the option to vary the clue and see the effect instantly on the map which made it immediately obvious what would likely be the right value. 

The app is not all perfect thought as it is showing its age. 

For example the keyboard is overlapping with newer iPhone models motion gesture bar at the bottom making it a bit hard to enter bottom characters from the keyboard. 
Also I miss the “press and hold spacebar“ to quickly move the cursor while editing.

UPDATE:

Only 2 weeks after my review the app got updated and the keyboard issue is fixed!
Also the “press and hold spacebar “ is not an issue as you can just hold and drag the cursor in the input field.

### *---- "Hmm niet al te best"
Deze app is niet gemaakt voor de basic member maar meer voor de premium. 
Als basic heb je maar 3 coaches die je per dag volledig kan opslaan voor offline gebruik. En de hulp programma's voor berekening en waypoint berekening kan je ook in gratis apps terug vinden. 
Dan maar beter de app van geocaching zelf, werkt makkelijk en is gelijk voor iedereen.

Demande un peu de préparation à la maison, pour encoder les formules liées à chaque point et à la cache. Et puis sur le terrain, plus de calculs compliqués à faire, ils sont tous fait par GCBuddy. Vraiment pratique et rapide.

### ****- "Geweldige app voor geocaching"
Deze geweldige app is nu nog verbeterd! Nu hoef je de nodige gegevens niet meer in te typen met dat kleine keyboard van de iPhone! Ook switchen naar igtc en terug is niet meer nodig omdat de meest gebruikte tools in geobuddy zijn ingebouwd. Dit is mijn ideale geobuddy, vooral bij het fietscachen.

### ****- "Geweldige app voor geocaching"
Dit is werkelijk een geweldige app bij het geocachen. Het vergt wel wat voorbereidend werk, maar het bespaart je wel heel wat rekenwerk in The field. Om van misberekeningen nog maar te zwijgen. Enkele verbeteringen misschien: alle gevonden cachen tegelijk kunnen backuppen/ doorsturen naar email en integratie van de geocaching toolbox of een link naar dit programma en terug.
