Import compatible character cards, manage personas and voices, and choose whether to chat with a downloaded local model or GemTavern Cloud. Key features: - Create AI character chats and story sessions. - Choose between Local Gemma and GemTavern Cloud as your chat model. - Use GemTavern Cloud for higher-quality cloud chat when signed in. - Manage your account, plan, purchases, message balance, and usage history in Account Center. - Import character cards from PNG, JSON, CharX, or supported URLs. - Use built-in preset characters or import compatible character cards. - Manage personas, avatars, world books, and lore entries. - Use longer character context for richer chat and more detailed scenes. - Switch chat language across supported languages. - Use character narration with built-in voice settings. - Choose from Supertonic 3 preset voices for high-quality local narration. - Bind different voices to different characters. - Start voice calls with characters for hands-free conversation. - Optionally enable camera awareness during voice calls so characters can respond with fresh visual context when you speak. - Use Game Link to pair supported games with GemTavern. - Scan a Game Link QR code to receive character cards, start paired chats, and reconnect previous sessions. - Let supported game events and context flow into character conversations. - Save chats locally and export chat history. GemTavern is designed for fictional storytelling, creative writing, and character-based chat. Local model chats are designed to run on device after setup. GemTavern Cloud, account features, purchases, and Game Link require network access. User-created or imported content remains under the user's control.
