### ***** "Amazing Concept"
I, like a fair chunk of gener8 users stumbled across the service through one of Sam’s viral moments. I was stunned at first to realise such a concept could exist and I kept looking for a reason for it to be too good to be true. 

The app itself and the browser (for PC) are both completely flawless with features that will benefit both you as a consumer and your general browsing experience. 

The single issue I have with Gener8 is the rewards. A lot of them are not exactly what I was expecting and the ones that do pose any sort of interest to me such as gift cards and things like that are never available for me. This is however as mentioned the only problem with the product I have. Every other thing is completely perfect, so much that it’s still worth the whole 5 starts from me :)

Just downloaded the app after seeing the Dragon’s Den pitch. Looks really promising! I will for sure use this and see how it performs over the next couple weeks.

One complaint I have is the inability to choose whether gambling related rewards are shown to myself. I would much prefer to switch them off completely and to not see them at all, but there is no option to do so. 

Please consider that there are many people who are recovering addicts. I do not think it is ethical business practice to advertise gambling, without a choice, to those who don’t want to be exposed to it. Thank you for considering my feedback.

I’ve had gener8 for over a year now where the auction rewards used to be worth hundreds of £ like brand new games consoles. You were motivated to earn and save lots of points for this reason but now auctions are £10 gift cards? They already have a gift cards sections. The rest of the rewards are generic deals you can find yourself. Yes you can earn from your data but the rewards aren’t what they used to be

This app had me really excited, and I used it for over a year. The idea is great, but the execution? Not so much. 

The rewards on offer are shocking, basically all of it is free trials where you have to pay for delivery, and would be available off the app. You can’t actually purchase anything substantial with the points you earn, you are essentially just giving away your points for free. 

Whoever is in charge of partnerships at Gener8 is doing a TERRIBLE job, because they don’t deliver anything actually useful.

I love the concept, but you can’t really buy anything with the points that you accumulate. 

There are auctions and gift cards available but they are very difficult to acquire. The rest of the app is filled with offers that you can find online anyway; as if they are trying to distract you from the fact that, in reality, they offer very little.

Disappointing - I hope they improve!

Whenever I tried to redeem anything I get an error saying I got to many accounts attached to my gener8 account which I do not because I only have one account attached to it which is my main email address and when I contacted support I didn’t get an response back from Katie and neither the support team from gener8 don’t go with this app the company just likes to waste your time I gave you pleantly of time gener8 to respond back to me but you didn’t so that’s why I left a bad review

I’ve been using the Gener8 app for about a year now. It’s super easy to setup and you get rewarded for surfing on-line. 
They have a wide range of rewards to choose from and it’s always good fun! 
Highly recommend!

I downloaded this to try. In its current form it is not really useful at all. You are just voluntarily giving your data to another company for free and not getting anything off value back in return.
As well as this, when I attempted to delete my account and remove my data, it refused to allow me to.
I believe that Google also revoked this companies access to the Google account data earlier in the year over concerns that they were harvesting and then selling people’s private data.
In theory, an interesting concept. In practice, it appears to only benefit the people running Gener8, with little to no benefit to anyone volunteering their data to them.

Went to the effort of signing up and letting the app harvest my emails to be rewarded with points that I can’t spend.
The reward of the week? A Tesco meal deal. The quantity? 44. Reminds me strongly of Lockerz back in the day. Deceptive marketing, not worth your time.

I have a lot of points but almost all the rewards are companies offering freebies or discounts that are either available elsewhere or literally being offered for free within the app. 
I don’t understand why this couldn’t be something like 1 point equals 1p and have the points actually pay out money.

The concept is brilliant. Take control of our own data and make something from it. But in action it’s very hard to redeem the app currency for anything of value. Real time rewards are gone within a second of being available, simply isn’t fit for the scale they’re looking for. Lots of the offers you see are plastered all over social media already, so it adds no value to get first order free here on this app, when it’s available on Facebook for the same value. Unique deals would be better along with a realistic number of gift cards available. Perhaps offer every app user the chance of a gift card each week and they must choose one. That pool of people should then have to react quicker than the others who chose the same gift card. Rather than opening it to every user every gift card.
