## Genki Studio Description
Genki Studio turns your iPad into a portable monitor and professional video capture and presentation device. Connect your Genki ShadowCast or any compatible USB UVC input device to start using your iPad as a portable monitor for your gaming console, PC, digital camera, small board computer, or microscope. Record the input at maximum quality and save the media file directly to your iPad or an external SSD to save storage space on your iPad. With external monitor support, your iPad can output full-screen content to another external display via AirPlay or USB-C to HDMI/DisplayPort adapters while continuing recording to your iPad, while using Apple Pencil markup for a quick presentation.

Highlights of this app:
· Connect your Genki ShadowCast or any compatible USB UVC input device to your iPad.
· Capture images or videos with audio with maximum quality, to your iPad storage or directly to an external storage device like a portable SSD.
· Fully compatible with Stage Manager and Multitasking features of the iPad, enjoy music or play a video on your iPad with Genki Studio app running simultaneously.
· Support for Fractional Frame rates, Grid and Ratio Overlay for professional monitoring.
· Mark Up with Apple Pencil support lets you scribble on the screen.
· External Display support to output clean video image to AirPlay or a wired connection, while continuing recording to your iPad at the same time. Turn your iPad into a portable notepad with Apple Pencil support for live events.
· iPadOS menu bar, keyboard shortcuts and game controller support for various app functions allows you to quickly capture the moment.
· Optimized for accessibility with VoiceOver support.

* Connecting to UVC devices requires a compatible model of iPad. Requires additional accessories; this app supports Genki ShadowCast, and any other input device that conform with UVC (USB Video Class) standards. Appropriate USB-C adapters, docks, or hubs are required for some devices or configurations. Multitasking features require a compatible model of iPad. Connecting to External Displays wirelessly requires AirPlay 2-enabled TVs, streaming boxes or sticks, or a compatible Mac with the latest macOS update installed; also, using a non-Genki ShadowCast capture product will have an added Genki logo watermark on the clean video output Image.

** UVC input is supported on iPad with a USB-C port. USB-C ports on some iPad only supports maximum USB 3.0 SuperSpeed 5Gbps or USB 2.0 High-Speed, which may limit the formats you can use with your UVC devices. Please check your iPad’s support before downloading this app or buying accessories.

## Genki Studio Reviews in United States

### ***-- "Mic goes to speaker with headphones connected to bluetooth"
Whenever I get a call and answer it while using the app it goes to the speaker instead of staying connected via bluetooth and staying connected to the headphones mic.
-- robinink, 2024-10-23

### ***** "Black Screen"
No image after iOS 18 update. Update: it works now. Thank you for your response.
-- IIYomiII, 2024-09-27

### ***** "Perfect HDMI capture 1080p/60hz"
This is the simplest and most functional HDMI display and capture app I’ve tried out of 3 or 4. I input 1080p at 60fps from a mini HDMI cable into an HDMI to cheap usb-c capture device off Amazon. I use this to allow others to spectate my live fpv drone goggle view on an iPad.
-- MLaVoie1, 2024-09-03

### ***** "HumanThings does it again"
I used the Genki Arcade app on my computer to stream video from my ShadowCast capture card and hoped that there would be an equivalent for iPad. Let me just say, this is much better than all the other HDMI apps you will find on the AppStore. It works with ShadowCast,it works with any HDMI-USB-C adapter. This is a MUST for power users or anyone who uses HT products. Get this NOW.

### ***** "Updated to Five stars because…"
Updated…. I was able to follow the developer response to get what I want. I would still say that the colors are a bit off but, this is better and meeting my expectations. ************************************************************ Generally this application works will with the Shadow Cast. However…. Running this as an extra display or even a gaming monitor at a standard full HD resolution (or any standard resolution) on an iPad seems like a waste. I am not really asking for 4K (though this does that just at 30Hz and the screen looks terrible that way) but for a non-standard resolution that can fill the screen. The big letter box on the top and bottom don’t really seem needed. And, I would certainly think with a USB C 3.1/2 GEN 2 connection that you could push a 1 K level resolution that is taller…. Please…

### *---- "High pitched sound"
After starting the app there is a high pitched tone sound that sounds like screeching, it disappears when a uvc device is plugged in and more back when it’s plugged out.
-- iTh0r, 2024-04-11

### ***** "Great App"
I just got this app, and it is a game changer. It doesn’t actually use much power at all! I have full brightness, and from the hour I was playing, I only lost two percent—100 to 98! There are a few cons, however. The screen sometimes glitches out, and parts of the screen get unaligned. Also, the drawing feature is there, even when I’m playing, and I can’t figure out how to turn it off. All in all, this app is amazing. 10/10!
-- Rated Review, 2023-10-29

### ***** "Simply Awesome!"
I can play my Switch on my iPad now using the Genki Shadowcast. Not only that, but I can connect my PS Vita directly to the iPad via a USB-C cable to play. Incredible! Thank you so much for this!!
-- Raeldor, 2023-10-28

### ***** "So good!"
Love this app, is there anyway to stream to YT or Twitch with this?
-- AJ567001, 2023-10-08

### ****- "Great app but lag makes most video games unplayable"
Title says it all
-- Gonzo117, 2023-09-28
