## GENKI Waveform Description
This companion app for the Genki Waveform allows you conveniently connect and personalize your Genki Waveform Experience.

To get started, this app includes a quick connection setup tutorial and a digital copy of the user manual.  It also allows you to customize the name of your Bluetooth connection and see your battery status on each earbud and audio codec.

Other features include:

Active Noise Cancellation -  easily switch between ANC modes - normal, active, and transparency

Preset Equalizer - We include gaming audio and music optimized presets to further bring out details of your experience. We’ve also included the ability to customize your own presets.

Firmware Update - This enables Waveform to receive the latest updates and bug fixes.

- SmartCase volume increased by 6db to compensate for the low volume from the PS5.
- SmartCase Mic increased clarity and volume by 4db.
- SmartCase Earbuds Mic increased clarity and volume by 4db.
- Noise cancellation and transparency mode are tuned to fix feedback issues.

### *---- "Won’t even open on my device"
I’m an Android user, and Human Things have completely forsaken us at this point. So, I dug this iPhone 6 that I keep in my car as an iPod out to download the app so I could update and tune my new Waveforms. Guess what? It says iOS 12 is supported by the app (minimum, but still supported), and yet the app won’t launch. I tap it, a black screen zooms in like it’s opening, then exactly 1 second later I’m on the home screen. Thanks, Human Things. Now I have to borrow my roommate’s iPhone any time I want to adjust *anything* on my earbuds. I love the GENKI line, but you really crapped the bed on almost everything about these disturbingly expensive earbuds. Glad I bought them on deeeeep sale or nothing about this would be worth it.

Can’t get the headphones to work on Steam Deck OLED, only in DualStream mode will it work correctly. Will not work by itself.

I’m listening to music through the buds connected to my phone, but when I tap connect in the app, nothing happens.

### *---- "Never been able to upgrade firmware"
Firmware upgrade messaging and process is confusing. Not super clear which firmware it is updating from or to, as the versions mentioned are not clear, but that is a small Ui thing. 

The bigger issue is that the firmware upgrade just says “upgrade failed” with no cause or way to fix. Then if you reconnect the pair, instead of attempting to recover it pops up a dialog telling you to upgrade and no choice to dismiss. 

Grateful the buds still work though, very great quality build and hope to keep enjoying them for years.

Rudimentary, and not much information/documentation about how to confidently perform the firmware update. 

A lot of intuitive controls you’d expect aren’t yet in the app. I know the devs rushed this out to get the EQ settings out there. 

FWIW, I use mine for gaming (Call of Duty on PC,) and when I got the EQ settings tuned for FPS, they sounded fantastic. 

I’m not crapping on the developers here. Just want to help set expectations for those who download this for now. Looking forward to updates, and will adjust the review as it progresses.

### ***** "Fixed problem with firmware update"
Had an issue with connecting to app after firmware update in the app. Managed to fix by performing factory reset (connect case with buds in to pc or phone, then press 1 button for 5 seconds until light blinks red three times). Afterwards, buds were recognized in app and work as expected!
