I just love this game and the way it makes me feel like home. Ngl, I didn’t have much time to play these last few months, but the moment I came back everything was even better. I think Hoyoverse is a great company, and they do listen to the player’s advice. Def recommending it

Genshin Impact and Hoyoverse as a company had plenty of opportunities to represent so many diverse cultures and most of all people in this game. They failed with Sumeru and now they are failing with Natlan, sometimes even making mockeries of the cultures they are referencing in their own regions. It is incredibly disappointing and worrying to see such a big game not make this kind of effort. Even when you look at it from a character design perspective: If every character is of a white skin color, it just ends up becoming more and more boring, no matter how much more intricate their clothes become. So I decided to delete every Hoyoverse game from my phone and refuse to engage with their games until they decide to be better in that regard and I implore people who care about more diversity and representation to do the same. Sadly the only way we can make a dent in that regard is if we speak with our wallets, because ultimately that is what it all comes to.

colorist and racism, whitewashing cultures whitewashing your own characters and not caring about your own fans and voice actors getting mad about it
