Most caches over a certain “difficulty” are locked behind a premium subscription that you have to pay monthly for. A good 75 percent of the caches in my city are locked behind the subscription. The one cache is located by my place is at a park that is deemed a higher train difficulty thus being locked behind the premium subscription, It’s a park! What’s so hard about the access to it?
I love it but the thing is I want to do harder ones but I can’t until I buy the premium and my partners won’t buy it so I would love that you don’t have to buy a premium to do harder ones
This app is great! The only problem I have is that it is possible to access more geocaches (for free) on the website. I would much prefer if those caches were also available on the app!

it use to be so good when we didn’t have to pay for it all to find bigger cashes not as fun as before.
I’m a new geocacher I only started a few months ago, but it’s really fun! The only problem is there can be people who like to ruin the fun, I’ve found some really gross things in geocaches with my friends so just be careful and bring gloves!
I don’t like that you need to spend money to to get the “ premium geocaches”. But overall it is very funn.
We connect through Geocaching. Our « family geocache name » is used by our kids still (adults) and it’s been fun sharing finds as we/they have traveled. We help each other out with personal goals and challenges, and share the photos and stories. I think it is so encouraging to explore and go places we never would have gone in our own neighbourhoods, or be curious when out of town. It can certainly be a challenge of the numbers or ah ha moment of a difficult find, but I personally appreciate the creativity or awe in caches and locations some members have thought worthy of sharing. It can be that one beautiful thing in a day. Thanks to everyone making it work.
It’s a great game to play love it so much easy for when your on a trip.
Perfect balance for paid and free version. Such a great idea and activity.
