## GeoLog Photographer's Notebook Description
GeoLog is your personal photographic logbook for remembering the places you discover, the photographs you make, and the conditions that make you want to return.

Great photography isn’t luck — it’s being in the right place at the right time. GeoLog helps you build your own collection of photographic places, record what you find, understand the light and sky, and return when the conditions are right.

YOUR PERSONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC LIBRARY

Every great location deserves to be remembered. GeoLog automatically captures GPS coordinates, altitude, heading, and timestamp as you record a place, so the details aren’t lost between visits.

• Auto-logged GPS, altitude, and heading
• Organize by location, region, or import session
• Add notes, tags, and photos to any place
• iCloud sync keeps your library across all your devices

RECORD THE FULL STORY

A great photographic place is more than a single frame. Document the subject, the approach, the surroundings, and the compositions you want to remember. Your photographs and notes become a visual record you can study before returning.

• Live viewfinder with zoom focal length slider
• Capture supporting photos for context and composition study
• Photograph signs, trail markers, and surroundings
• Review and compare angles before you return

UNDERSTAND THE LIGHT AND SKY

A place is more than where it is — it's when it comes alive. GeoLog's ephemeris engine gives you sun, moon, and Milky Way conditions for every saved place, including extreme latitudes where other apps fall short.

- Golden hour, blue hour, and twilight tracking
- Sun and moon rise, set, and position arcs
- Solar and lunar eclipse forecasts
- Milky Way visibility, with alignment against your own saved photos
- Offline Bortle sky-brightness rating for any location
- 5-day weather forecast at the saved place — not where you are now

## GeoLog Photographer's Notebook Reviews in United States

### ***** "Location Scouting made simple"
Nice little app for when you need to scout locations prior to filming dates. The app captures GPS locations, dates, times, sun and moon rises and sets, and even identifies what phase the moon is in on a particular date. You can enter your own notes to the photos that will help you with planning that return trip (like perhaps “construction equipment will be gone in 2 weeks”) and finding the best time of day to capture based on the sun’s position. This app is even great for when you’re simply out enjoying nature as you can snap and import pictures along your route before deciding when to come back with the big gear for capturing chosen spots.
