German Flashcards Reviews

Random subscription

App was great. Never used the punctuation function, so was good for learning vocabulary when you have good punctuation. Then out of no where, I couldn’t open the Flashcards sets without it asking for $3/mo. No notice that I was in a trial period, nothing ever mentioning a subscription, just randomly throwing it in your face. Pretty lame cause I was enjoying the app.

Should be a one time fee not a subscription

Nothing in this app justifies a subscription, should be one time fee

Fine, but subscription

App seems to work fine, but after an indeterminate period of time just refuses to do anything unless you give it 2.99 a month

Very Poor Pronunciation

I downloaded the app with high hopes of improving my German pronunciation and listening skills, as well as increasing my vocabulary. I deleted the app less than a minute later after listening to six vocabulary words from three different categories (to give it a fair chance). The letters “w”, “ä”, “e”, “ö”, “v”, “i” we’re not pronounced correctly. It sounded like a regular American speaking regular English but using German words.

Pronunciation is awful , Vocab are good

The words are good, definitely some I’m haven’t seen before. I’m not sure why they don’t have the article for all the nouns. German words must be learned with the article. The pronunciation is horrible.

Wrong pronunciation

Yikes! I have no idea how this app has gotten such high ratings. If you’re trying to learn how to correctly speak German this is not the tool for you. I downloaded the app to refresh and increase my vocabulary. My mother is German and can no longer travel home in the summertime. I want to be able to communicate easily when my brother and I go. I know what German words sound like. It’s a good app if you already know the proper pronunciation.
