Ok so I can’t even get into the app because there is no sign up, just login. I see loads of potential
Some limitations on speech recognition (different accents Etc) otherwise good
I am a big fan of this app but it recently started to have bugs. It works slower and freezes a lot. Hope it would be fixed soon

At the moment I’m using both glean and Otter AI together to be able to take good notes - it’s less than ideal and I think glean has the capability and user friendliness to do it all! I really struggle to take good notes in lectures because I can’t keep up (#dyslexia) - I like glean for how it helps me with this and it’s general feel, however my notes are still not very useable without me having to spend time going back over which is time consuming - it’s a nice idea but the following things would make it 100000x better: - Transcription!!! (With the ability to manually correct it when the AI doesn’t quite get it right) (I know you have a whole Schpiel on your website about why you don’t do this but frankly your arguments might be relevant for people who don’t need to use assistive technology, but for those of us who do (I.e your target market) transcription ALONGSIDE the audio would just make our learning so much better and easier) - Being able to add your own labels (not just important, heading, task, etc - but for me it would be useful to be able to mark things by themes related to my course context) - being able to download/print out a transcript with your notes as colour coded annotations around them - colour coded annotation Bank - I.e. it would be really helpful for me to be able to see a list of all of my ‘important’ notes, or ‘task’ notes associated with a particular recording - it would also be helpful to be able to see a list of all notes associated with a particular label from all recordings in a particular topic/library (alongside transcriptions of the relevant bit of recording) it would be useful for both life and for being able to revise from my notes - autocorrect - As I use glean as assistive software I often make typos when trying to get things down quickly, it’s really frustrating when they’re such obvious typos that my notes aren’t just autocorrected - Autoheadings - if the heading is in the PowerPoint, it would be nice if it could be automatically detected and added into the notes for me rather than my having to type them out - automatically identifying key words/key points in a recording (or letting me do it and the software highlighting them in the recording/transcript)
It is annoying I have to use my iPad to import slides when that is where the main source of the information is. Not necessarily the tutors voice. I know you can do this on a laptop but sometimes having a laptop with me is not possible.
Great
Ok
I often have trouble keeping up with the pace of my professors lectures or the ideas, topics, and evidences brought up and discussed in small discussion. Glean has been great for lectures, when it comes to taking notes with many features on individual slides while also letting me record everything that occurs. These recordings always produce great transcriptions regardless of where I am sitting. These recordings always software is also great at distinguishing different voices when it comes to divining up text for discussions. One great feature to see glean add would be to add a plug in with a AI/LLM like Perplexity or ChatGPT to offer greater details while taking notes and adding to the quick outline. The current software creates a basic summary, but lacks key details.
