Glorify: Devotional & Prayer

This app has been great for the time I have used it. I incorporated this app into my daily routine a while ago. But I'm now deleting it due to them paywalling some Christian content. I don't trust any companies that do this. What if someone needed your message to get saved, but didn't receive it, because you paywalled it? I'm sure they have their reasons, but I'd be ashamed. Thanks for the beginning. You started out great.

I knew that they were going to be taking away o Some of the free features but I didn’t realize they’d take away the listening aspect of the passage and devotional. I cannot afford to pay so I guess I’ll find a new app

I really loved this app because of all the options it gave and how inclusive it was. Unfortunately, after the update I did not enjoy it as much and don’t use it as often as i did because of the options taken away. In general it’s a really good app to learn and read the Bible but i would love for the options back without having to pay.

I started out loving this app, faults and all, it was totally free with 5 key features. But, like the rest of the world, they wanted to be bigger, added unnecessary extra content, and now want money for it. The inconsistency of content is frustrating, each day you don't know until you open the app what the content will be. The developers keep changing features, today they reduced the free options to 3, without courtesy to or consideration of, the community which made them popular to begin with, by not exhibiting transparency in notifying the community of their intentions beforehand. They continually put the cart before the horse and make changes, drop features, then tell you afterwards if you want it, you have to pay. They're like drug dealers, they give it to you free in the beginning, then once you're hooked, they expect payment. When it was first announced that they would be charging for certain features but leaving 5 free, they had already been changing the content for some time without notice. Then exchanged one that most people enjoyed best for another, now if you want to take a Daily Walk with God you have to pay for the privilege on Glorify. There is also no way to communicate with others unless you answer or comment in a post, or join a "small" group, though how small isn't defined. I didn't look into it due to being unsure if I wanted to keep the app, now I'm certain. I'm deleting Glorify due to the above and more. It defeats the purpose of starting your day with Our Lord and trying to walk closer with Him, when the first emotion it evokes is a negative one. I couldn't stay focused on the content due to irritation at yet another change in an attempt to get more money. I'll get another app before I start paying for what was once a great devotional app, which is now just a mediocre one. Especially when I don't know from day to day whether or not I will receive what I'm paying for. More & bigger is not always better. Glorify doesn't appear to be as well thought out as it originally did. The developers should have focused on making the small yet impactful content the best possible, before adding more content for them to have to contend with.

I am a faithful user of Glorify for years. I have just recently prioritized my relationship with God and used Glorify as my morning daily devotional. It was helpful for me when I could listen to the text and the devotions because as a busy college student, I could listen to it as I get ready for class in the morning. I also found the extras like testimonies, declarations, etc. very helpful for my walk. With the new update, I can no longer listen, repair my streak, or even look at past lessons. This is extremely disheartening and I am now on the search for a new app which prioritizes easy access to the gospel for everyone and not just the people who have 6 dollars a month or 70 dollars a year to spare.

I was really disappointed to see features that had previously been free/included in the app are now requiring an upgrade for a $70 fee. My family and I listen to the daily devotional regularly for our weekly devotionals. Today when I went to listen to the daily devotional the listen option has been removed unless you pay. Same is true for the books of the Bible. As a busy mom who tries to get the word in in the car or to and from running errands, it’s extremely disheartening to have lost this feature to money. Other apps offer the voice narrated Audible option for free so I will be utilizing those moving forward. In my opinion, they should be funding this app based on donations from users not a required subscription.

Missing the daily walk with God part of the app. That was my favorite part of the app. Please bring it back. I know it’s on the explore section but it’s the same one everyday. ☹️

I don’t know why but this literally used to be free to listen to the devotional. I started my morning every day listening to these and being able to get the word a little bit before I start my day. Now you’re little putting a price on Gods word which is free which is quite insane. If I could give no stars I really would

for months i’ve been reaching out to the company to make a widget for this app because i love it and used to use it as my daily routine. but with life i would sometimes forget, thats why i felt a widget would help me and others give more focus to this app. i updated it yesterday and now the “daily walk with god” videos are locked and need to be accessed through the membership. that was my favorite thing about Glorify and what made it unique. i spoke with a few members on the community group chat and they were also disappointed about it. such a shame. sadly, i’m deleting the app. not that it’ll affect them, but it’s no longer for me.
