upd: endlich kann man das Verhalten des Cursors beeinflussen, super!!! alt: wenn ich den Cursor mittels touch platzieren möchte, ist die Position meistens genau richtig, aber eine halbe Sekunde später hüpft der Cursor ans Wortende. Kann man das irgendwie abschalten? Ich habe da leider nichts zu gefunden. Das standardmässige einfügen klappt leider auch erst nach mehreren malen und cmd+v ist ja cool, aber benötigt auch 2 clicks. Ansonsten top!

Bought it for yaml mostly. However, the advertised code folding feature did not work. Got in touch with the developer. Response within 1 day, delivery and update within one week! Now everything works and I can enjoy the overall great phone editor for my yaml use case.

Hallo, ich finde die App super, sie hält, was sie verspricht und funktioniert flüssig. Manchmal gibt es ein paar Probleme, die mich etwas stören, darunter, dass der Cursor immer wieder mal an den Anfang eines Tag’s springt oder, dass wenn ich eine weitere App im Slideover geöffnet habe, ein schwarzer Balken über den Bildschirm zieht. Ich nehme an, dass das so ein Nebeneffekt vom Laden ist. Schlimm wird es erst dann, wenn sich Dateien nicht mehr in den externen Browsern wie Safari, Firefox oder Chrome öffnen lassen. Da ich nicht weiß, auf welchem Browser der Interne-Browser basiert, kann ich auch keine Tests für Fehler durchführen, die zum Beispiel in Firefox auftreten würden. Ansonsten alles in allem, eine richtig tolle App!

Endliches Mal was vernünftiges und richtig gutes. Lange danach gesucht, auch erst nach kurzem Test sofort begeistert. Normalerweise bewerte ich fast keine App, aber diese hat es richtig verdient. Werde mehr davon berichten. 9.99€ lohnen sich dafür auf jeden Fall. Endlich Scripte etc. auf Server direkt bearbeiten und vieles mehr.

This is just plain the best code Editor available in 2020 for IPad. It is still not as good as desktop editors but it comes close. It reminds me somewhat of Sublime Editor fir PC or Mac. It has advanced features like working smart multi cursor editing and file context based auto completion (not just syntax based) It has still much room for improvement left, but it beats Textastic, which seems to stall in development feature-wise. If your are interested in any way in coding on the Ipad, you should support the app and buy it.

Nachdem ich verschiedene Editoren getestet habe, darunter auch das oft empfohlene Textastic sowie Coda und andere, bietet mir GoCoEdit das, was ich brauche: Ein entferntes Bearbeiten von Dateien in einem guten Editor ohne vorheriges Syncen bzw. Herunterladen. Außerdem bietet GoCoEdit eine Seitenleiste mit Verzeichnis- und Dokumentenbaum, die mir alles anzeigt. Ich muss mich nicht wie bei den beiden oben genannten Apps umständlich in jeden Ordner hineintappen und wieder herausnavigieren, sondern ich sehe meine Ordner und die darin enthaltenen Dateien auf einen Blick. Es gibt noch Optimierungspotential (z. B. Änderung der Schriftgröße und Zeilenabstände in der Seitenleiste; Ausblenden einzelner Ordner, um den Workspace einzuschränken und übersichtlicher zu gestalten), aber das ist kein Grund, mit weniger als fünf Sterne zu bewerten. Außerdem: Der Entwickler reagiert schnell auf E-Mails. Dankeschön!

This is the best texteditor on the iPad that I have tried! However, there is a small issue I have: When one of my remote servers is not available a message keeps popping up every ~5 seconds reminding me of it even when working on a local file. The only workaround I have found is to just delete the particular remote server from the list.

I've encountered a few problems when using the app, which can be quite annoying. - When switching between Apps, the cursor can get stuck and can not be moved anymore with the arrow keys. Typing is also not possible anymore. Opening the search and closing it again works as a work around but it is stilll very annyoing. - When switching between apps, the editor sometimes looses its state and has to reopen the last file again. -It would be nice,to have an option to keep the file navigator on the side fixed in place. Especially when constantly switching files, this would be a very nice option.
