Great app, very easy to use and very practical

Not actually included in the bundle purchase

cogunn on

Replying to the Dev: So … when I paid for the bundle, which included this app, I got the free version of this app not the full version! I’m pretty sure that’s what I said. That’s up to you, but it’s not what I expected when buying the “bundle”. ===[ original review ]=== I bought the bundle of three apps, which included this one, but it’s still asking me to upgrade. That’s up to the dev I guess, but it’s a bit confusing to include it in a bundle purchase if the purchase doesn’t apply to all apps in that bundle.

Used to be good

Sam643!2 on

This app used to be a great app to quickly check the predictions for sunrise and sunset and give you a fair bit of detail but after the recent update the Dark Sky thing has been introduced and the more detailed sunrise/set has gone. E.g. used to be weak high clouds instead of just cloudy. Really disappointed with the update. Just making users pay more for the Dark Sky features.

Always incorrect about cloud data

Nrufrost on

I have set alarms to be up for what should be an amazing photo according to this app but once you get outside the sky is clear with no clouds. Besides that it’s other features are good not that you need them other than the clock. Disappointed I purchased the full version tbh.

The golden hour app that gets the balance right

fractal_h on

I own quite a few of these apps, but this is the one I find myself using all the time. Good balance of ease of use, features, and functions.

Good idea but a few fixes needed

The FLB on

There was a quite a few things that needed fixes but the App maker seems responsive so I’m sure it will continue to improve. I like the clock graphic it’s very simple & clear & the app is simpler than having to google golden hour and now switching between 24hr & am/pm works. But the GUI needs work. There are a few design mistakes. Mostly about stuff crammed together & not giving breathing space around elements. The icons at the bottom almost touch the top & bottom of their section Light index is so close to the bottom you think there is more information below that makes you want to scroll down The date almost touches the bottom of the clock, it could be put in the clock like a watch face to save space on the page I don’t know if it uses the system font settings but the fonts are too big The welcome introduction the font is soo big that it goes past the bottom of the screen so I can’t read what it says (I haven’t seen the welcome screen again so not sure if it’s fixed) I teach iPhone photography so I’m keen to keep an eye on this app for students ——————— Things below have now been corrected Good to see app makers who keep improving & don’t just dump an app & take your money :) that’s why I now give it 4 stars ———————— Fixed: I tried turning the 24hr dial off in settings & it made no difference. Works now Fixed: this is such a basic mistake that’s been overlooked the main point of the app is knowing when sunrise and sunset is. But at the bottom of the screen when you click the icon for sunrise or sunset, the title below golden hour & blue hour says sunrise for both it should change to sunset, so I got really confused that it was saying that sunrise was at 16:57 ??? Displays correctly now Fixed: No information on how to use maps. What are the lines on the map. What do they mean & how do I use them? There is a question mark icon with an explanation now

Good app

Would be great though if it would also show the sun and moon path in relation to your position.

Does what it says and does it well

Acorn Kid Jr on

Glad for a niche app like this to be so well designed and such a pleasure to use.

Love this app but some UI issues

Brenno.C on

I love this app and I'm so happy I found it but the UI especially on the first page (Clock) under 'Light Index' is too squashed. I keep swiping up thinking there is more to see below. I recommend reducing the size of the clock a little and adding some more padding below 'Light Index'. Aside from that this is one of my favourite apps.
