Simple, fast, and great reports. New app is a horror show. Most of my data disappears. Impossible to enter shot data quickly with one hand. They updated a “no map” version which helped a little as entry was similar to old. But app will still frequently crash. Currently I can’t see any analysis of rounds because my Home Screen permanently shows a spinning circle and no rounds. Easier to place shots relative to landmarks that way. Also would be nice to see all tee boxes regardless of chosen tee box. The instant report available at the completion of the round was detailed and easy to read. The new app is impossible to do data entry. It freezes frequently and the round has to abandoned or restarted. The data entry is way more complicated and not intuitive. FAQ has a video showing data entry method that doesn't seem to be supported anymore. New shot entry method is cumbersome and practically unusable. Editing existing shots doesn't seem to work. And it won't allow me to log into the app on my iPad app after previously setting up my account on my iPhone app. I gave up after trying to log shots for 2 holes, and won't be coming back. Then they wanted to make it better by inserting gps that eats up your entire battery in 3 hours. It’s also imprecise, glitchy, and frustrating. They added a feature to sort of become the old app again. No gps. Great, but it can’t even remember all your courses so you have to reenter them from the start again now.. but it worked somewhat. Now my latest round I can’t even look at. Every time I click on it , the app glitches out and crashes. The old app worked perfect every time. Never glitched. Looking for a new stokes gained app now. The new version is more difficult to look at different rounds and time series quickly. The most recent update is a complete disgrace which has removed 70-80% of the functionality previously provided for the sake of introducing a buggy, painful graphical UI for entering shot data instead of manual entry. After 2 years using the app and gathering data, I entered the 2024 season with clearly defined goals on specific areas to improve based on the data and categories available in the reports - notably Greens hit, average proximity to the hole, and handicaps for shots from different distance buckets; make % on putts from various distance buckets; etc. With the app update I have lost all of that data. Those stats were completely removed from the new version. Why would you take an app that provided analytical statistics and then remove 75% of the statistics? This release of the app is so much worse than the original. I’ve been using the manual entry mode for a couple of rounds and have analyzed the results. Today I noticed that the total strokes gained vale is not the same as when I add up the strokes gained values for driving, approach shots, short game, and putting. Nor is it the same when I add up the strokes gained values for each individual shot! Everything about the new version is worse.
