Our daily pace is continuously increasing, to the point where we loose touch with our breathing, being and the joy of life. This application offers a moment of stopping. Listen to the sound of the gong. Read the sutra that appears on your screen and take a deep breath. Now you have an opportunity to contemplate. The gong: The application allows you to set the gong cycles throughout the day. You can choose to use a pre-set program or program the cycles yourself. Each cycle has 3 gong sounds accompanied by a sutra that contains words of wisdom. These sutras come from live satsangs that are the culmination of many years of teaching yoga and spiritual awakening. The sutras: A sutra is a concentrated wisdom whose purpose is to allow us to touch the whole that we are. The sutra appears and disappears, like life, always suggesting an opportunity to come back to wholeness since it belongs to a timeless NOW, and in time it disappears again. The application allows you to read the sutras in full when you roll down the notification screen of the iPhone. The satsangs: These are encounters with yoga students in yoga teaching courses around the world. A satsang involves in-depth conversations about all kinds of life situations, so that a possibility to meet stillness arises. Conversations are inspired by ancient yoga texts, and according to the yoga tradition they point towards questioning rather than providing answers. Compassion lies at the heart of all satsangs. Recommendations: 1. The application is a suggestion for listening inwardly and for inquiry, reminding us of truth. In order for the application to really be useful, set the Gong for no less than a 30-60 minute cycle. Each time the Gong is heard, the sutra that appears can be a reminder for inner work. Inner work needs time, attention and deep inward attention. Use the sutras wisely, with mindfulness, with respect. Give each sutra the breadth to inspire you. 2. You may be immersed in a specific theme in your life right now, such as work, family, relationship. Use the Gong application to remind you to go back inside, to listen, for a moment. This might keep your inner work alive. You can choose to use the Gong only as a reminder, or contemplate the sutra and its meaning for you right now. 3. You can write a private sutra of your own, one that is meaningful to you at this time. Upon choosing this feature, the application presents only this sutra with each gong sound, reminding you of your personal inner work. ## gong awakening Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple2/v4/ed/61/a0/ed61a086-711a-8d82-fafb-c2caf5fc9d47/mzl.dkbcvzki.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple/v4/fb/0d/0e/fb0d0ebe-4577-480d-b0e5-a2970afd808c/mzl.dppobfoi.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple/v4/cd/59/fa/cd59fa8e-2f79-7257-32ba-3b09b6e9aabd/mzl.njkqwles.png/640x960.png) ## gong awakening Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 0 (0%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 1 (100%) ## gong awakening Reviews in United States ### *---- "One gong sound only?" The gong sound sounds like a small Tibetan bowl... Needs deeper gong sounds. Needs better presets, ie weekly or daily alarm sets. Doesn't compare to spotlight Six's "Progressive Alarm Clock" Tibetan bowls alarm app. I can't find a way to get my money back. I will take down this review if someone contacts me back about this issue. -- SC0440, 2014-09-20 [View all gong awakening reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## gong awakening Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Paid | Israel | Health Fitness | #112 | ## gong awakening Available In - [Israel](https://apptail.io/app/gong-awakening-Iroy/israel) - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/gong-awakening-Iroy/united-states) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/gong-awakening-Iroy/australia) - [Portugal](https://apptail.io/app/gong-awakening-Iroy/portugal) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
