Spent over an hour tonight creating envelopes, setting up budgets, logging expenses paid for the month. Was excited about the system but noticed that two of the envelopes were not updating. The numbers showed up, but the status bars were absent. I also wanted to adjust the monthly goal for one of them and when I did, it too lost the status bar, so I backed up everything I had done, logged out and logged back in, and found that the only envelopes in there were the ones with the missing status bars, and their status bars were still missing. All other work had been lost. It’s crazy that an app this well- reviewed could be so buggy. I hope there is an update coming. Definitely not upgrading to Premium based on this initial experience.

I’ve been using Goodbudget for several years now, and it’s been so helpful for keeping track of my money. I’ve been able to notice trends in unnecessary spending to cut back and save for things like vacation and fun, and to give toward causes I support. I love how goal envelopes do the math for me to help me save for long-term expenses. And with scheduled transactions, Goodbudget takes care of my regular payments and fills, so I don’t have to. The premium subscription is totally worth it to have unlimited accounts and envelopes and bank sync!

Bruh! YNAB confused the life out of me. I literally have gray hair from all the stress of using YNAB! This is app is very similar except its easy to use. I dont know if I can link bank account to this app but if I mess up something its easy to fix. Id recommend this over YNAB any day

This looked like the answer to my dreams. I can’t figure out how to use it. I am not stupid. It’s probably some simple little thing I am missing but it is impossible to reach anybody to answer questions. Very Disappointed!!

I’ve been using this app for years and my partner and I absolutely love it. I recommend it to everyone who needs a budget tracking app. The only thing I wish it had was a widget for the iPhone. I like to keep my most-used apps in widget stacks and unfortunately I can’t with this one. Devs, please help!

I have been using this app for a month and I recommend this app because of how easy and simple it is to use and add transactions. There are many good things about this app,Like when you first open the app there are not any random ads popping up and leaving you confused, something that i also found interesting is that you can make your own envelope and add stuff, the app is also really easy to understand all the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I have to say there were some stuff the app did not do well, the apps aesthetic was really bad, the whole app was just one color, also being able to find the pie charts and other stuff about the app took me 3 days, the instructions should be more clear about this because i never realized that the app has pie charts. Although a good budget is a great app, there are some missing features in the app. The app should give some notifications not too much but maybe 2 notifications per week to remind the user that the app still exists and to remind them to add some transactions. The app should also add a feature where you can add pictures to your notes. Also having a small tutorial when you first install the app would be a great help and a good idea.

Very frustrated with update. I have used this app for several years and I have loved it. Now every thing I had saved is gone and the app keeps closing!!

Love the app! This is the first time my husband and I haven’t fight about finances in 20+ yrs! Thank you! One request, could you allow editing on the Payee field please, not just a ‘start fresh’ each time…someone I just need to tweak spelling? Ty!

I love this app. Just one thing would really make it even better - please fix the auto reset to the top of the page when viewing transactions. I often need to cross reference transaction history with a credit card statement and it’s really difficult when the view keeps jumping back to the top. Please fix this one flaw in an otherwise stellar app!

Don’t think twice about paying for Goodbudget - you can absolutely do the free plan if that works for you, but for me, $70 dollars a year literally saves me thousands because I’m forced to look at and organize all my spending and savings regularly. I look forward to budgeting now.
