GoodLinks Reviews

Still the best RIL-app one year later

hanghing on

Norway

Getting close to one year of use and I see no reason to find another RIL-app. The dev recently switched to a sort of subscription model, but with the twist that you keep the new features released within your year of subscription even if you cancel later. Seems fair, everybody needs a steady income. Plus: - fast - proper dark mode - uses iCloud to sync - added highlight functionality and picture download Wish list - global search - auto-tag functionality - contrast settings for the font selection (to make the font whiter) Worth the money, give it a try.

Best service for reading later

Simple to use, good reading interface, and easy to save from any browser or Apple device.

Nice app

Does what it says. Love that it uses iCloud :) Would really appreciate if it could save Reddit posts too (doesn’t work now)

Not working

ibaard on

Norway

I relied on this add to work as advertised. But all the links I’ve added from my devices lately haven’t been saved. I’m disappointed.

Great little app

I love the concept of this app: it basically does everything other read-it-later services like Pocket/Instapaper do, but instead of making it a convoluted service with web apps etc, it sync over iCloud, makes organizing easier and does so while performing and looking IMHO significantly better than the competition.

I don’t know how much we have a lot to say about you and I miss your time with me

Hi there

Best one out there

Elier Alonso on

This is the app I’ve been searching for. After trying almost every other app available, I decided to give this one a try. The main reason I chose this app over others is its simplicity. Most of the other apps I tried were subscription-based and quite expensive, which I’m not a fan of. Apart from the price, the app is top-notch and offers a range of great features that perfectly cater to my needs. Here are some of the features I like about the app: - Nested tags: These are fantastic for keeping my content organized. - Highlights and exporting to my notes app: These are incredibly useful features. - Widgets: These are excellent for keeping my screen clutter-free. - Minimalist UI and fast response: The app has a clean and user-friendly interface, and it responds quickly to my actions. Overall, I’m very impressed with the app and would highly recommend it. It’s a great value for the price, and it offers a ton of features.

Must have

Yaroslav Ya on

This is one of those old fashioned app that don’t costs a ton and yet provides unprecedented quality of what’s doing. I’ve tried almost all of this kind of apps in AppStore, many of them made well in terms of sorting and storing the saved data, a lot of them has an option to download whole article to you device. Almost none of them doing that reliably enough, this one does. This was the main reason to stick with this one long ago, but then this thing got evolved to a literally absolutely perfect read later app beating all of its competitors effortlessly. I mean the nested tags, the notes, dozen options to export all of it. It’s a bless.

Love this app

Axomus on

I’ve been looking for a bookmarking/reading app for awhile, and I haven’t been able to find one I really enjoy. Not to mention they are usually expensive subscriptions. GoodLinks is everything I want an app to be - private and secure, slick native experience on multiple platforms (iOS, iPad and Mac), very stable and reliable. This pricing structure is what every app should have. No subscription, but a fair model with a one-time cost and optional paid upgrades.

GoodLinks is the best! Highly recommended!

TheHiggsBoson on

This is easily one of my favorite and most used apps. I personally love GoodLinks for the ability to save and organize articles offline in order to read later or use as references. I also like that it is basically a pay once, use forever type deal rather than a subscription model. I would rate the app a 10/10 and would not hesitate to recommend it. However, I do hope features like the ability to search for keywords within a saved article, to edit the thumbnail of articles, to edit the text of saved articles, and to underline text instead of highlighting it are added someday. The lack of these features is not really a big deal, but it would be a good improvement if they were added eventually. Also please give us the ability to capitalize letters used in hashtags.
