If they continue to force subscribe, all my students would be advised to migrate from Goodnotes to another platform.

Great app

Great app. Easy to use. I use Organise me Digital Planner inside Goodnotes 6. Works perfectly. I highly recommend it.

disappointed!!!

Very disappointed with GoodNotes. Despite enabling iCloud backup, files on my iPad and iPhone don’t sync properly—files imported on the iPad are invisible on the iPhone. Even worse, some files open as blank, the app frequently lags, and exporting files is nearly impossible. This has been a frustrating experience.

Good NOTES what are you doing!

I purchased this as a lifetime product. Now you are reminding that and have lost the record of my payment. PLEASE sort this out for everyone.Provide instructions not invasive prompts the force you to take an annual fee option.

Best Note App for Studying

zmiin on

New Zealand

Pros: Ideal for studying as you can create folders and categories within folders and categories. Colour coding is an added bonus. Ability to write to text is a fun function but still needs work to really work seamlessly. Cons: Handwriting just isn’t as nice as the native Notes app. It is over sensitive, creating extra lines/flicks in my letters ruining the neatness of the handwriting. And no adjusting the sensitivity does not help. No smooth way of moving to the next bullet point while handwriting (it is meant to be a light tap but you end up tapping out of the text box and when you try to tap back in you’ve moved onto to the next line). Missing the ability to create simple tables like on Microsoft Word. Unable to create sub-bullet points in my notes which is a little annoying. In spite of all this, Goodnotes is still the best notetaking app out there for studying. Hopefully they will make some fixes in the future.

A bit basic imo

When i first got GN6, i had never used anything like it before (not even GN5). Initially for an ammature note-taker like myself at the time - the app sufficed. Now furthering my skills, ive noticed that GN6 needs more for it to really cater to its audiences. From what ive heard GN6 was a huge downgrade from GN5. The typing mode actually hurts to use as it feels like a childs toy; theres VERY minimal editing features. Maybe adding more editing features similar to Microsoft Word or google docs would help. A couple more things that would really step up the game would be a lock feature, andvanced layers that can be individually edited and/or hidden etc., comments or annotations for text, smart templates that can be updated after notes are added, built in image editor, video and audio clip option, real-time collaboration e.g. Comments with timestamps and history, AI powered features, better intergration with other tools e.g. Two-way sync with apps and a cloud to allow others to edit documents in real time, a line smoothing feature for handwriting and drawing (im not talking about the snap to shape feature, but one where it just makes your lines a little smoother, with adjustable sensitivity levels, pattern recognition in drawings, advanced PDF markups, grids and guidelines (basic one and customisable option)macro commands etc. Theres definitely more but thats all i can think of for now. Im not 100% sure if all of these features arent available or not at this very moment, but i do know they are not easily accesible or well-known which does not make this app user-friendly fyi. Much love from JosReviews :)

I’ve got an iPad Air 4th and this model is not eligible for audio transcription. I just don’t understand why it’s not supported ? It’s like 4years old and I can’t even use new features even tho my iPad is still be able to update to newest iOS version as well. Can you fix this issue please.

Forced upgrade plus cost

Topgunered on

New Zealand

Hi this is disgusting behaviour Goodnotes would not let you use version 5 and therefore took away all access until you upgrade to 6 and a new subscription cost. I have never seen this behaviour after working 30 years in the IT industry. It then works very slow to the point of being unusable.

Trouble changing from Goodnotes 5 to Goodnotes 6

e4syr3venge on

New Zealand

I can’t seem to upgrade to Goodnotes 6 for the life of me and I can’t even try and make another account to try because it charges me for Goodnotes 5 again! I’ve been trying for so long and it is honestly exhausting, I’ve given up!
