### *---- "Goodreads' 'My Books' Section: A Year of Inaction and Frustration"
The "My Books" section in the Goodreads app has been non-functional for over a year. When you click on it, it just keeps loading indefinitely, and the books never appear.

The same issue exists on the Goodreads website. I've reached out to Goodreads support multiple times, and their response has consistently been, "We are aware of the issue; our developers are working on it."

How can such a critical part of the app remain broken for so long?

It’s honestly a great app but considering how famous it is, I don’t understand why it has such a bad user interface. You can’t reply to people’s comments unless you’re on the website (and even then the reply system is weird. it includes the person’s entire comment before showing your reply. and either way the person never gets a notif that someone replied to their comment). speaking of notifs, they need to fix that. notifs are often delayed and lag (even if you click on the notif it still appears red and unopened?). You can’t make extra shelves unless you’re on the website. Honestly it’s very annoying how the updates are never actually useful.

After blocking users from adding books I have been really disappointed with the app, goodreads was my only reading and book tracking app however now I am missing a lot of books that I am unable to add them myself and it takes a long time to add a new book by sending an email to the librarians and the process is really long, please return back the manual book addition for readers and let the librarians review and edit the books added.
