Google Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts by adding a second step of verification when you sign in. This means that in addition to your password, you'll also need to enter a code that is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone.
The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or mobile connection.
• Sync your Authenticator codes to your Google Account and across your devices. This way, you can always access them even if you lose your phone.
• Set up your Authenticator accounts automatically with a QR code. This is quick and easy, and it helps to ensure that your codes are set up correctly.
• Support for multiple accounts. You can use the authenticator app to manage multiple accounts, so you don't have to switch between apps every time you need to sign in.
• Support for time-based and counter-based code generation. You can choose the type of code generation that best suits your needs.
• Transfer accounts between devices with a QR code. This is a convenient way to move your accounts to a new device.
To use Google Authenticator with Google, you need to enable 2-Step Verification on your Google Account. To get started, visit http://www.google.com/2step

Let me simply do something without asking for ratings
So, I am trying to get my work done, and add a new MFA client.
Ping - can you rate me and write a review.
So you get one Star - because there is no option for minus stars, for which this interruption to what I am doing merits -5 stars.
You get this negative review.
Thank you for providing an App that makes security possible. But please consider the why, it is because underlying security with Big-Tech is not up to the level we all need to protect our data.
NOT SIMPLE
Did not work once for me
Deleted now going to try Microsoft
Facebook
Every added bit of security is a bonus, and bye the looks of things meta is making it safer by the day, win win.
Good
Good
Disastrous
I’m required to use this app for work in order to keep my data secure. It never works. This means I can never work from home so I spend all my time at work. Definitely not a great app.
Beats Microsoft!
It’s very easy to move your accounts from one device to another.
Worst authenticator app
Doesn’t even work properly, Microsoft one is so much better, google one is pathetic
Unusable
Don’t authenticate my Gmail account. Epic fail. Plus it’s a privacy scary monster.
Unnerving
It is total rubbish having two different ‘Authenticators’ battling each other, and then a plethora of different web pages who want to have their own codes. Simply recognise that internet communication is inherently unsafe and return to safe procedures, i.e. anything important needs to be done in person
Codes not working
The codes connected to my coinbase account aren’t correct. I’ve tried troubleshooting online but it says to update the date settings on the authenticator and the recent update doesn’t even provide this option. Time across all other apps and devices is correct. There is also no active customer support for this app so I’m now locked out of all my accounts just for activating 2FA.
