This is a good app but options are extremely limited. I can use colors for an event, but not tasks. Although all my Google appointments and events transfer to the calendar I’m currently using (& leaving), I can’t import that calendar. It asked for access to my contacts, but where are they? Where are their birthdays? This app is too restrictive and even for tasks there are few options. I will continue to look for a better app.
App is great, I like that it syncs with gmail easily, and I can even add events from outlook or other accounts. My favorite thing is the monthly overview where we can see the entire month in a snapshot, including the events each day. However, one thing missing is an easy way to navigate through months and years instead of manually scrolling back and forth.
Its a good app. Simple and convenient across my devices
I love using Google Calendar! It makes organizing my schedule super easy. I can sync it across all my devices, so I always know what's coming up. The reminders help me stay on top of important events and deadlines, and I love being able to share my calendar with friends and family. Plus, the color-coding feature is perfect for keeping different types of activities separate, however I do wish they had more colors. More shades, colors help my brain categorize things. other wise sometimes things mush together. I think they’re are a lot of colors but too many that are similar.
The App icon for iPhone, always showcases the day 31 on the screen icon. Apple Calendar has the short day identifier (MON, TUES, etc.) as well as the actual date (1,2,3,etc.) displayed on the app icon. Please make the change to add this feature, it’s the only thing I need from it to take this app from good to great.
It syncs Google calendar and is good at that. However its Home Screen widget isn’t as good as Apple’s and the left screen’s widget breaks every time the app updates and needs a phone restart.
I think with the last update birthdays are no longer visible on the calendar, even with the birthday option on. I believe it’s a bug — please fix it ASAP! I have some friends birthdays next month and I do not want to forget them!
I’ve been using GC forever. I just recently learned that I’ve probably had ADHD my whole life. Just recently discovered how helpful colors can be to me! I would sincerely request that just as a start you add or give the user the ability to choose different colors. So helpful in tracking items, same appt types, etc. That’s just 1 thing. I think you could make the whole calendar basically adaptive- print size, vision impaired helps, but definitely, definitely the addition of more and VIBRANT colors. Thankyou.
You left out easy access options to share google calendar on your app. Unfortunately, Android and IPhone is very complicated to share events or with other people. There is NO OPTION TO SHARE TEXT MESSAGES OR EVENT CALENDAR! Not supported unfortunately. Sorry guys :)
Amazing to me, thousands of requests to do it, one of the most logical enhancements to it: make the gosh darn icon the actual date. Yet, no update. Why?
