Get to a healthier and more active life with Google Fit!
It’s hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health.
Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity, such as picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30 minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO’s recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep and increase overall mental wellbeing.
Google Fit will also help you:
SEE YOUR WORKOUTS
Get insights and see stats such as heart rate, speed, pace, route and more for your runs, walks and bike rides.
MONITOR YOUR GOALS

MAKE EVERY MOVE COUNT
All physical activity can help you lead a healthier life, and with Google Fit you can track it all in one place. Working with your favourite fitness apps and devices, Google Fit builds a journal of your activity. And to make sure Fit never misses a workout, you can manually add any activity that your other apps didn’t track – from aerobics to Zumba!

In accuracy
Although i had given permission to integrate with health application in apple, google is still showing incorrect data. In health app, total steps covered was 7284 steps and in google fit its showing 4565. And when am refreshing in idle position values going to 5300 and going back to 4565
Sync issues
Hi, I’m using Apple Watch & syncing data to Google fit app, but it doesn’t get automatically synced, I always have to logout & re-login. Post this data gets synced but certain times I’ve observed step count & distance doesn’t matched with apple data.
Please help me in fixing this issue
Incorrect distance
App is not tracking the steps/distance correctly, there's difference of 1.5 km for every 5km.
Most inaccurate app
This is the most inaccurate health app which gives inconsistent results every time. The distance covered and the no. of steps are the most unreliable features of this app. Had to uninstall the app.
Steps are measured correctly
This has happened after the latest update. The number of steps are not counted properly and keep stuck at a particular count despite heavy movement. Although the heart points are calculated properly and move mins is also calculated accurately. Also the number of steps keep reducing and fluctuating and the goal is not reached.
Inappropriate count on exercise
It doesn’t count our steps properly, poor quality
Should be called as Google Cheat App, instead of Fit App
Using this app since March 2024. After 2 hours of exercising, app registers Heart Points and Steps. After some time, it reduces both the values, and keep doing that till the end of the day. At the end of the day, you will realise that you haven’t done any exercises at all. Unfortunately, health insurance companies such as Niva Bupa use these fitness values to award you discounts. Looks like this app is geared to reduce that and save money for these health insurance companies. I am happy with other fitness apps.
steps not counted
I have google fit in two mobiles & both of them show different counting. Also it doesn’t calculate distance correctly. Today in one mobile I got 41 heart points with 4304 steps & in other I got 39 heart points with 5270 steps.
It has a bug
Steps Data from the app vanishes after one week. Calories data being shown but steps have vanished. Feedback given through the app but no use. I guess time to mov on to a better app
Heart rate
Heart rate is not getting added when activity is added.
