This app is all about Google thirst for data. Useless for setting up Chromecast.

It’s starting to feel like every time there’s an update this app just gets worse and worse. I’m done, I’m literally about to move everything over to Apple HomeKit to avoid the headaches.

Can’t detect my Chromecast 3rd gen

It might be absolutely fine if your only devices belong to Google. Theoretically, my iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch should be able to connect to my Google Home Max and minis via Bluetooth, but there are endless headaches. Perhaps this is an Apple problem, nevertheless, it makes HOME automation unmanageable.

What’s going on? The Google Home Widget has been removed? I now have to have 6 different widgets to control my devices.

This google home hun is useless. It’s a glorified clock at most. I have three of them and when I ask to play music across all speakers it crashes. When I ask it to read out recipes it says it cannot do that. When I set alarms with different names and they go off and I ask what the name is of that specific alarm it says it cannot tell me. When I ask general questions it displays them and when I ask it to read out the answers it just continues to display them. After three years it has only gotten worse so we are now replacing with Alexa

Google home is overly complicated and unreliable, with products randomly disconnecting and illogical error messages that don’t assist with troubleshooting

Found it to be such a pain to link anything in home and continuously dropping devices off in the end gave up with it
