Why the hell do I still get right wing SkyNews Australia after blocking it???
You can’t block certain sources anymore, which is very annoying if you’re someone like me who doesn’t want to read stories with a particular bias.
Now there’s an ugly black border around the content.
What happened to swipe? It's painful to navigate in and out and between stories now.
Hey there! Swipe to next article issues and feedback: Please, I beg, give us an option to disable swiping into the next news article. I personally have never once wanted this, not only is it too sensitive/easy to accidentally do, it actually BREAKS basic functionality! That functionality being: 1. Swipe from left edge for back. I’m trying to swipe from the left to get back to my feed, I end up swiping through 2/3 articles before I get back to the feed, as there seems to be an arbitrary area where it works? I’m not even sure because it doesn’t feel consistent, the muscle memory built throughout iOS makes this feature in its current implementation disruptive to normal behaviour of iOS apps. 2. Swiping on embedded images. Just now, an article in realestate caught my eye, said article has photos of the home also within, great! However, these images had to be swiped on to go through… Aaaand I’m sure you can see the problem now, of course even when swiping from centre, off-centre and edges I was thrusted into the next article to do with some thing I would never click or open otherwise. To add to this point, I think but am unsure that this may have also affected scrubbing through embedded video when NOT in full screen. Please provide an option to disable this, at the very least it needs refinement. I say it all with love because I do not at all like Apple News or others for that matter, I want to continue to use the app as I have done for years, but this feature causes so much frustration when just wanting to browse the news on the train after a long day, then randomly getting thrusted into the next article unexpectedly/unwillingly gets immensely frustrating, it’s sometimes so much so that I just give up and go to reddit news, which of course just saturated in a chronic lack of substance and US pol
App has been great over the past several years. All of a sudden it’s stopped working over WiFi. Deleted and reinstalled app, no change. Tested and rebooted home WiFi and Internet, no change. Only app that seems to be playing up
I used to love this app , they just removed the option to block poor news sites, all the rubbish I had blocked over the years is back. Why would anyone want a news app that forced all content on you?
Google News has the same headlines from four days ago and it won’t update!
I would like the app to remember where I had reached in the news feed. Maybe refresh from the top each day? Every time I open it, the news starts at the top again.
